Today GM chat finally said my Yukon is "in transit via rail". For the last 6 weeks it has been sitting in Grand Prairie "awaiting shipment". How long after actual shipment did you take delivery? I am in North Dakota which is about 14 hours from the plant in Arlington.

Could take a couple weeks to a month or more. Depends on rail traffic, transfers, as well as unloading, and trucking to your dealer (biggest bottleneck with driver shortages). No one can give an accurate estimate.

Ours was around two weeks. We are in Indianapolis. The interesting update is now GM allows dealers to pick up their own cars from the rail yard. Previously they were at the mercy of drivers (and that was taking an additional 2-4 weeks). My dealer told me this has drastically cut down on their turn around time, and thus increasing their allocations etc.

When was this?

Just kidding!! I called my dealership yesterday afternoon after the chat said it was "in transit" and they showed it still in TX and the chat said 4B00 still in TX this morning. I've said it a thousand times but no one really knows WTF is going on

Keep hope alive. My dealer told me my Escalade was still at the factory and less than a week later, it was delivered. Yours could very well be in transit.
