My OE radiator cracked on one of the plastic side tanks so I ordered the Cold-Case from summit with the oil cooler connections. Looks like a quality product and came nicely packaged.

I have one in my 2012 and am happy with it. Had to make some minor mods to get it to fit right, and others have had them start leaking after a year or two. Fingers crossed!

Mine has been good so far.
I have about 1300 miles on it. :jester:

I have a cheaper all aluminum radiator in the vette, I haven't had any issues with it.
I have had It for about 5 years.

Installed it today. It doesn't come with new "feet" so you have to scavenge from the old radiator. Had to cut a few of the bolts shorter so they wouldn't push into it. Two of the bolts for the plastic top piece.
Quality seems very nice and it's way thicker than OEM. I registered for the lifetime warranty.
I also made some new air dams for both sides because mine were wasted.

That's how my second one looks now. Got it on warranty after the first one started weeping around the left side after about 9 months. Customer service is excellent and the new one was much easier to fit. We had to make some serious brackets to get number one installed. I asked them about it after we got the new one installed and they said they had redesigned it.

The second one has been fine since installing it in January when we got back from a 5500 mile camping trip through Texas and New Mexico. It's pulled our trailer for 3k miles through east Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, and Kentucky in that first June heatwave. We shall see how this one holds up but if it lets go, I may just have it repaired locally.

It's cooler out today and on the way to work this popped up. Temp gauge was at the bottom below 160. Surge tank is full. Does this radiator work too good? I'll be checking the temp sensor when I get home. Top radiator hose was hot but I could hold it without burning myself. Cold side of the radiator was just above ambient temp I'd say.
Thoughts?

the return line to the reservoir is too large you need to install some kind of restrictor to make it at least 1/2 or more the size/flow it is now, too much coolant entering the reservoir messes the system up. maybe go to the hardware store and get a reducer in the pipe section and insert it into the return line.

Classic symptoms of a failed coolant temp sensor. Easy fix. If it takes you 10 minutes, you must’ve stopped to smoke a cigarette.

I used the nipple from the old radiator as in insert in the line to get the restriction.

I tossed the old radiator already but I have plenty of brass casings so I'll try that.
I know it's not the temp sensor because after driving around a while it must have got hot enough for the warning to go away and the temp came back up to 210.
