I've never heard of different valve cover heights. I don't know why this would even be a thing. But, it's probably best that we not delve into trying to understand the psychopathy of GM.
Never herd of this either. I believe the reasoning is suppliers. Different suppliers doing different things. My avalanche takes the 748RR wire.

Makes me wonder about my wires.
I have a 3/4in spacer and MSD wires, it fits.

I wonder if I went to OEM, would they reach?

plug wires should fit all 07-14 gmt900's including 1500 pick ups, avalanche, hummer. regardless of engine size, exc. v6 pickups
that might even stretch into the k2's and gmt800's as well, if it fits one then it fits all
prime example, these wires on RA fit 1500 silverado's from 99-15 no dam reason they wouldn't fit up to 2020 as well, which means they will also fit everything else I mentioned above

Not exactly GMT900 related. My dad has a 2003 gmc he bought used from uhaul 16 years ago. Currently at 325k on the original 4.8. He got nailed by a crackhead today. Note chrysler wheel on the ground. Dad’s wife was quick enough to catch the perp driving away on 3 wheels. He got 2 miles before the cops nabbed him.

Both dad and wife okay.

A$$hole. Hope they put him away for a long time for attempting to flee. Looks like he crossed the centerline to hit your dad going the other way?

Ummm

Not mice (eww)

They are squirrels.
And they have names thank you very much.

Samuel, Samantha, Nigel, Paul, Joseph, Franklin, Frederick, Stewart, Stephen, Jose, Alberto, Bartholomew, Stephanie, Roberto, Wesley, Peter, Stephen, Benjamin, Tomas, Tegan, Charles, Ethan, Edward, George, and of course we can't forget about Daniel.

Daniel has been a little depressed since his dad Hansford had that terrible fall.
He didn't make it sadly.

Oh and if say you want to remove and or install the transmission and the two speed transfer case fully attached to each other into the truck.

The bell housing and the rear non removable cross member has about 1/2 in clearance to do so with the engine out, and the sway bar removed.

I think i should be on track to drop the engine in this weekend.

From there, I get to start setting up the new transmission cooler lines.

Omg, the picture of the crackhead fleeing on three wheels with smoke coming from his car is hilarious.

He would end up with calls coming in to dispatch all over the place i imagine.

Florida man stuff right there!
That's exactly what happened. He tried to flee through "quiet" neighborhood streets. oopise.

Debating grabbing some pro comps with a link bar instead.
