I think it's on sale alone and discounted more if you buy 2 or 3
This one's the 625 ft lb

It still only comes out to $179 total when the batteries and charger are added.

I think location has something to do with it also. Price is higher for the same item in your area. I'm also using the Home Depot app and not the website.

Who knows

they have 2 different ones, one is 625lbs and the other 1500lbs or something like that, then they also had a wrench with a 4.0 battery and charger but out of stock
They won’t let you add the high impact one in the build your own combo kit deal. It’s $229 normal price. I bought the regular one, $179 normally. I feel the other one will break things lol. Like my wrist.

Yeah, I noticed mine is priced $149 and has the "special buy" next to it.

On another note, I've had the Porter Cable 20v lithium 1/4 impact and drill set for about 3 years. The drill has a hammer setting also, but it makes it a little longer and heavier in size.

I don't like having to have different chargers and batteries, but this is a really good deal and the Rigid has free replacement batteries.

The free replacement batteries for life is what originally sold me on Ridgid cordless tools many years ago. The batteries are the most expensive part of the kits when you start talking the bigger or higher amp ones. They’ve been great tools. I have used Milwaukee and Bosch at work, Milwaukee is awesome but the most expensive which didn’t matter because the company was responsible. They switched over to Bosch because of price and ended up giving away all the Bosch and buying Milwaukee all over again because the drills were junk (couldn’t tighten the chuck) as well as a few others issues. The Ridgid drill I have tightens on even big ass bits super good, never had the chuck slip. The skilsaw is awesome too as well as the 1/4” impact I have. I was looking at the pics of the new batteries and they look like they’ll fit my existing tools, they say they work on all 18v Ridgid tools. I’m pretty sure Milwaukee’s new batteries won’t fit their older tools. Seems these companies like to change battery designs every few years do you have to buy new batteries, but maybe since Ridgid has to replace them for life they have incentive to keep them the same.

well got 1/2 the order, going to have to try and judge how much to use for lug nuts one review said A (auto) setting and then use a torque wrench, A setting is just low rpm it doesn't really give a range of force, 1/2/3 are just increased rpm 300/600/900

got my registration renewal in the mail and of course it needs to be smogged so I put the hypertech tune back on it with the autocal in place of the backbear tune because I have the carb sticker for it and blackbear said it shouldn't affect the sensors and drove it over there and of course it reset all the sensors........
so still has a couple to set, it's pretty cool this time of year it should be ready tomorrow

Except evap. It will never set, maybe in 2-3 months…

I could never get my Silverado to set that one. After 2 months I registered it in a non -smog county.

Huh. I tried everything with mine, even that ridiculous drive cycle called for although I couldn’t perform it exactly.I’ve heard others having the same issue. You must be special but I’m sure I’m not the only one to say that.:love62:

they had a bunch of different combos, some only had the little 2.0 battery, I have a smaller 18v black & decker impact and drill already for the light stuff for as cheap as the B&D stuff is it holds up fine I have a tendency to be rough on tools, I did have one of the black decker impacts go bad on me about a year and a half ago but a replacement was only $20 and I already had the battery and charger it got stripped out internally or something it just quit impacting.
