Hello All,

I recently acquired a 2015 Tahoe police vehicle at auction. My personal vehicle is a 2015 GMC Yukon Denali 6.2 4x4.
I was wondering if anyone on this forum would be able to tell me what parts from the police vehicle would be good to use as an upgrade on my Yukon?
My family owns a car lot and this police vehicle was purchased with a clean title from an online auction. Apparently while bidding, we didn’t realise that it was an ex police vehicle ( the pics were not great). So when it arrived, we were a bit surprised. I’ve already removed the underbody metal skid plate, the auxiliary battery and harness (which I have no clue how to install), and a “KTB7708 H 18114” module that was mounted above the radiator support (assuming it’s for lights of some sort)?
Can anyone steer me in the right direction with this? We are looking to sell it as a civilian vehicle and already purchased carpet and leather front seats.
Are any of the components better for example the driveshaft, any other electrical upgrades, or anything that I should be looking for?

Would be awesome if someone could tell me what is useful for transfer to same year DENALI.

Thanks in advance!

Not really sure there are many items from a PPV/SSV that you would want to put in a Denali with a 6.2 other than what you just mentioned. The PPV’s are usually stripped down to basics and you have the top of the line Denali.

There is a pretty decent market for PPV/SSV so why wouldn’t you just clean it up and sell it instead of parting it out?

Reason being, we have a buy-here-pay-here lot, our clientele will always finance these vehicles out for more $ just for the carpet and leather seats.

It seems that this particular tahoe is still equipped with many of the accessories. Seems that on my Yukon BCM, there is an empty slot where another plug would go into. Upon looking at the PPV, that slot has a plug in it. Is this something that I should be looking at?
I understand these are strange questions, but if we are financing the vehicle out as a normal Tahoe, I figure why not take as much of the goodies out being that I drive a very similar vehicle. Am I wrong in that thought process? Is there anything else on these vehicle that are considered an “upgrade” ?

Does it still have the pushbar front bumper?

If so, take that off and install it on your Denali, cuz it looks cool. Well, many think so anyway, or sell it to someone looking for one.

Haha… yah… they took that off. But as far as anything performance related or even accessory related, I assumed they would have heavy duty suspensions and performance parts that may be interchangeable. I just figured I’d ask.

Not sure if I would want to start swapping suspension components between a PPV/SSV and a Denali. They have different stances and functionality.

At the end of the day, I’d leave it as is and not put a bastardized PPV/SSV on your lot, but you do you.

I completely understand your point and thank you for your input.
I just thought I’d ask as I have literally zero experience with these particular vehicles and what can be interchangeable from a performance standpoint if any.
I do however have a lifetime of experience selling metal on wheels. While the market for PPV/SSV vehicles may be strong, these very same vehicles, purchased at Clean title auctions and fluffed up with $100 carpet and $400 front leather seats, are going for nearly double the price when re-marketed. “bastardised” or not. Market demand ($) will always outweigh my personal preferences pertaining to anything that depreciates daily.
That being said, I thank you all for giving me the answers… I suppose I’ll just keep the metal skid plate and re-market as planned.
Thanks again everyone.

Good luck and it sounds like you are on the right path. Used car prices are crazy right now. The leather seats and carpet is a great idea to fuff it up but as a used car Dealer I'm sure you know all the ways to maximize profit.
