New guy here. Been lurking for a while but wanted to pass along my ordering experience. Based on what I've read, sounds like I got pretty lucky.

Order placed: 11/12
TPW: 12/6
Built & awaiting shipment: 12/10
Dealer has an expected arrival date of 12/30.

2022 RST 5.3, 4x4, Satin Steel, Luxury Package, Panoramic sunroof, Max Trailer, Bucket seats, 22" black wheels, Black exhaust

Pretty positive experience for the most part. Dealer has pretty low fees compared to others in my area and they are honoring supplier pricing. Biggest complaint is they just informed me they are only accepting finance through them (no outside finance + no cash deals). I'm in the Charlotte, NC area.
Please load pics when you get it.
I was told, and was prepared for the longer build-out for mine as I went Diesel.

Chevy website chat. If you do it on your phone, communication will show up in your text messages (at least for iPhone). You need your 6 digit order number and they will happily look it up for you.
Thanks. I’ll have to go find that order number.

Stop Start….useless…. Fortunately Stop Start was one of the early victims of the chip shortage and for my comment……Good Riddance. Hope you don’t come back again.

Been lurking for a while and finally placed an order a couple of weeks ago after finding out that the original dealer I was working with a) didn't have much allocation and, b) was waiting for ALL lights to turn green before submitting the order.
The dealer in Dallas I'm working with now has plenty of allocation and calls me weekly to update me about my order. As of this afternoon, he said: "As of today’s update (and this will be the last update until the first Thursday in Jan.), GM is not producing any diesel engines on the Yukon/Tahoe/Escalade lines. Their current estimate is that production will resume again in February. Hopefully in the New Year GM revises that forward and I will let you know if I hear any new information."

Y'all hearing the same thing still?

I just got a call from a dealer in Connecticut that rst, diesel and rse are all in constraint. I currently have an 1100 code for an order I put in 3 weeks ago, so does that mean no allocation for rst diesel until February?

If I already have a 3000 Event Code and had RSE in my build, are they just going to build without it? Not sure how these constraints work.

Submitted order with my dealer today for an LS suburban with the diesel. Was hoping to get it around March so if the Feb build time line for diesels is accurate that would be perfect! Will be spamming Chevy chat going into the new year. Maybe if we all nag them enough they will put us in front of the line :)

The more you deal with Chevy chat the more irritated you will become.

I have been told for the past three weeks that the diesel is on constraint; order not accepted. No orders will be placed/accepted next week.

I was wondering if anyone here has the ability to post the current constraints for the 2022 Tahoe? I know they constantly change, so it'd be great if someone had the ability to keep the rest of us informed and up to date. I've seen at least one site for Corvette's where they had a topic just for this purpose that was updated weekly.
Rear seat entertainment is on constraint, Chevy Tahoe premier model on constraint until March 2022

Probably already mentioned, but I was told the sport performance package with the 6.2 was currently on constraint. They said they expect them to be on constraint for at least few weeks.

I started searching dealers all over as I learned RSE (and now apparently the RST trim and the 6.2L V8 Sports package) are all on constraint. I got super lucky and found a dealer in Indiana that had one on the lot, not even in transit. I paid sticker price, $225 dealer/title fee, and paid $1,400 to have it shipped to me in South Florida in an enclosed trailer.

The shipping cost was a little higher than expected but I was ok paying it since they weren't charging over sticker and minimal dealer fees. Also, was able to use my Costco $1,000 rebate certificate, which is going away 1/3/22. So that took care of most of the shipping cost.

It took longer to ship out than expected-- paperwork was done by Dec. 13th but finding an enclosed trailer was apparently a bit of trouble. But the Tahoe was finally picked up from the dealer on the 23rd and was delivered to me on Christmas day, which was an awesome surprise. Another great thing about this one-- no auto start/stop! So happy this search is finally over... Unbelievable the times we are living in..

Some of you looking to order options currently on constraint may want to consider searching outside your local area and traveling to get it or shipping it like I did.

All of the options included in this build are the sports performance package, luxury package, panoramic sunroof, rear seat media, and second row bucket seats. Pics attached.
