It’s finally here. Weird tho that it has a build date 9/21 and has both wireless charging and auto stop. I hate auto stop and was so happy they were supposed to stop putting that in for the diesels. Other than the auto stopI absolutely love it!

Maybe it was in a lot waiting for chips to complete it? Congrats, your hard work has paid off!

Looks sharp! I'm in the habit of disabling the auto start/stop every time I start it.

I also got the auto stop start on my new Duramax Tahoe LT. I think they stopped putting it in the 5.3 gasoline engines but they didn't stop putting it int he diesel. Yeah, that button, an "A" in a circle for Anarchy. I wish there were a delete. I'm still in my break in period and have to remember to switch it off every time, putting up a sign over the instrument cluster to remind me.

Marine diesels, ya run'em all winter. Ayup.

The autostartstop is an abomination. Why would I be stopping and starting a diesel at every traffic light in a city. Starter, turbo and other parts will wear out. Hell, excessive engine wear.

I love this diesel. That sound, ooh. There is no turbo lag at all, none. And iIt pulls like a 502, even if it's not as fast. Of course I don't know how fast it really accelerates, but it's way more than enough for on ramps, roll on passes 65 to 85 and quick starts.

Anyone ever tried to see what top end is? Just curious. It was pulling strong at 90 when I let off - don't like jail.

I rented an Audi A6 TD40 in Munich this summer and was really impressed with the engine (but not so much the tech plagued car). When I saw the Hoes had them, well, it caused me to trade in my perfectly good car.

I'm hoping this one is going to be OK, no big problems, maybe even as reliable as all my other GM's.

Only a person who doesn't know anything about cars could come up with that brilliant idea!

When I had diesels, we started them up before work and shut them down after work, often times 60 or so hours later.
Yes that’s why auto start/stop in a diesel is not a good idea! Start em n shut em off end of day! Not at stop lights.
