What about the mileage? The temp hit 45 today, so I decided to hit the salvage yard just to see what's new. I lucked out and found this : View attachment 271678 Maybe this one will give me an accurate speed. I'll swap in some blue LEDs and give it a go.

60K less than original. I might try that jumper method to correct it.What about the mileage?
What's odd is that I have another 100MPH cluster with the trans temp that is off. The needle sweep is the same as my original w/o the T.T. , but it still reads off.Hopefully it'll work this time.
Jumper method? I thought you need an eeprom programmer or send it out to somebody that does it.60K less than original. I might try that jumper method to correct it.
I decided to make an instrument cluster repair harness. Rather crude, but does the job.View attachment 271407
Yeah, an EEPROM with the jumpers soldered to specific pins on the secondary integrated circuit.Jumper method? I thought you need an eeprom programmer or send it out to somebody that does it.
I use it to do bench testing of the clusters. Beats having to install it back into the truck. What does this accomplish? I've never seen this before.
Nothing like a 10- minute fix! And no greasy fingers! My left turn signal started having intermittent issues so I replaced my turn signal flasher relay today. Took 10 minutes and now it works like a charm.

Just following up on my earlier post. I saw a 2006 Denali today with this antenna, so I know at least this one will fit. It’s even a factory part for certain RPO’s:What sharkfin antennas will fit our GMT800 without modifications? I was looking at ‘07+ but thought the ‘11-‘14 also looks pretty good. Anyone done this swap? TBH, I’d rather just remove both of them, but won’t likely be patching holes in the roof any time soon.
Awesome Sam. I was thinking about swapping the one from my 08 Silverado over to see if it fits the 02 but after considering I’d have to tear both trucks apart once, then if it worked I’d have to put them both back together, wait until the part came, then tear the 02 back apart I decided nah. I was thinking I’d just order one and try. Now I just ordered that one from Rock Auto, it was $5.00 cheaper. I got it for $49.54 shipped with our 5% discount. I’ll let you know how it goes.Just following up on my earlier post. I saw a 2006 Denali today with this antenna, so I know at least this one will fit. It’s even a factory part for certain RPO’s:

Where do I find information on that? Even search terms would be appreciated. Thanks!
Awesome! Looking forward to it! I’m wanting to do this, but leary of messing too much w/ the headliner. I’ll get it done eventually, I need to replace at least one temp sensor up there anyway. But I really want to recover the headliner as well. Do want to paint the antenna to CM I think too..Awesome Sam. This guy is good at gm clusters. I watched him do mine, he’s about 1/2 an hour away.
I have CM paint left over and plan on it too. Just not sure if I chance it fitting and paint it first or try the fit, then paint afterwards. I only want to pull the headliner down once, I have my boost/afr gauge in the a-pillar and it’s not easy to mess with it. I’m about 95% sure it will fit so I’m thinking I’ll paint it first. There’s no going back at that point, right?Awesome! Looking forward to it! I’m wanting to do this, but leary of messing too much w/ the headliner.
