Have a 03 Tahoe that I just replaced the alternator and has a good battery in it. But when I go to drive it down the street it will die when I dont give it any gas. I'm not quite sure on what the issue is.

Could be crankshaft position sensor, if the tach from it quits it will kill the engine. My 02 Tahoe would just go dead, tech at gm dealer just happen spot it drop out just before going dead.

My old Jeep did that. Was simply a dirty throttle body.

Any check engine codes up?

throttle body or fuel pressure is dropping, that's about your only options if it runs fine otherwise, if it specifically happened only when you were towing and it stalled out after a drive that would be a separate issue. other issue's could be possible but are less likely.
when was the last time you cleaned up the throttle body and maf?

A mechanic found out it was the wire that ran to the alternator to charge the battery was bad and had to be replaced. One of the things I didnt think to check.
