Happy Friday everybody!

Been creeping this forum for about a year now probably as I began hunting for my next vehicle. Turns out a buddy of mine works at a dealership here in Dallas and just took a super clean, low mile, black over tan '16 Escalade on trade, exactly what I was looking for. When I saw it pop up on their site I jumped at the opportunity, and should be taking delivery in the next few days after they address a couple of minor cosmetic issues.

I think I have a pretty good feel for where I want to go with it, but definitely have a couple questions about various performance mods and upgrades, namely intake, exhaust, tuners, and that sort. I've always wanted to do some form of forced induction on a big V8 (who doesn't) but since this is a daily, probably just stick to bolt ons (yeah yeah, a supercharger bolts on, I know). I know there are a million threads covering those topics, so I'll refrain from asking those questions here, just figured I'd sign up here and say hi since I'm officially a GM SUV guy now.

Welcome to the forum from Oregon.

We recommend, except @Galante, that you put all your rig(s) info in your signature so we all don’t have to guess at year, make, model, engine size, trans, rear axle locker…….etc. While you may have posted pertinent info in your first post, you may forget to do it again and the info is needed by us anyway. Makes it way easier on all members that attempt to help, to have that info right up front. It is also recommended that you take a pic of your RPO codes, on the inside cover of the glove box, and post that image in your signature. All this info will greatly help those that will try to help with a problem.

If there is any other info, like upgrades, mods or recent mechanical/maintenance work done, that would be helpful in any post as well. Too many times a question is asked by the poster and after about 10 responses we find out that the poster has done recent work to attempt to fix the problem or work that was done that SEEMS not related to the problem.

That, "excellent point PNW" ought to set @Galante off.

As far as thanking me for my service, my pleasure completely.

I do see the utility of at least listing mods etc. in the sig so as to avoid having to regurgitate that information ad nauseum, however I will leave that debate to you gentlemen!

So many times a member will post a question in let's say the 2000-2006 section but never tells what they are driving. At that point, some of the answers are assumptions. Waste of time that is fixed with the year, make, model and mods listed in the sig section. Much faster repair responses that way. For some, that makes too much sense.

Welcome to the Forum from NH.

Lots of knowledgeable folks here who freely share their knowledge, experiences, and perspectives. Knowledge is power.

As stated above, the more that folks know about your truck and any installed mods, the faster and more accurately we can provide you with answers or guidance to any questions or requests for recommendations and/or feedback that you may have.

I hope that you will become a two-way participating member in the Forum's discussions.

Pics, please.
