I'm replacing all control arms on my Tahoe LTZ. I have aluminum control arms and knuckles. Are these the correct ones to replace them with? @915_Tahoe

ACDELCO 84628487 Control Arm
ACDELCO 84628488 Control Arm
ACDELCO 84114505 Control Arm
ACDELCO 84114506 Control Arm

I first bought Moog steel control arms until I found out that I have aluminum.

Hopefully @915_Tahoe will see this redo. You added a "5" and he will not know that. He may have just dropped the F off the front and went looking. Now he will start over.

i just swapped my entire front end to aluminum control arms upper/lower and spindles.

for whatever reason the old part number for the aluminum upper arms has been replaced with the part number for stamped steel. came across it all over the place, they may very well work fine and not sure why gm has discontinued the aluminum arms for those years

the old part numbers are :

Upper Control Arms:

23125969
23125968

Lower Control Arms:

22853474
22853473

Aluminum Spindles:

22842315
22842314

You are correct on these part #'s, the aluminium arms get replaced by the stamped steel arms.

As @915_Tahoe said, straight swap. I would run with it as per @915_Tahoe said.

The arm should look just like the aluminum ones and bolt right in and make sure the alignment is done and post the before and after readings after you do.

The ball joints in the aluminum arms are garbage and very often fail in the 80k-100k range. The ball joints in the stamped steel arms are failing much less.
