Looks like a great find and a very clean vehicle.

I’d go easy on the guys telling you to walk away. You asked for folks to give their opinion, and they did. After they did, you added more information about the various items that had been replaced. To be honest, I was leaning towards the “Walk away” side until I saw that the drive train had been replaced, and I’ve had some old and high mileage vehicles.

Again, great find. Definitely should be able to enjoy it for quite a while.

Very true I agree. But Always best to wait until ALL info and any pics are posted first ;)

Nice ride! I'd never guess it had that many miles. Looks to be very well taken care of.

If it's got automatic temperature control on it there are three actuators behind the dash when you want to replace all three of the same time and the airbag has to come out and that's expensive. I had all mine replace with Factory units on a 2004 Yukon and they started failing again after 1 year.

Ya I know its $$$. Luckily I have a guy who works at GM dealer and does side jobs and charges me only $25-$50 an hour on labor

But luckily the air blows normal and all that auto temp works. needs new compressor switch or a full A/C exchange he said.

The price is right but the mileage is very high I would run away. You're talking about buying a 16-year-old vehicle it's pretty well used up

I am glad that the OP bought it. Since the OP's friend works at a GM dealership and is only 25 bucks per hour plus he can probably get all the parts for basically free that makes it a super smart move long term. Good Job OP and Great Deal for you. Under these conditions it might be advisable to get a couple more in the driveway if you can find them in mint condition LOL.

Unless he did a leak down test, there’s no such thing as a quick AC charge. Good luck with your new ride, hopefully you won’t have any surprises in the near future.

UPDATE:

BOUGHT IT !! My LSX mechanic came out with me and gave "green light" Just need a/c recharge and oil change, New windshield and touch up hood from road trip rock chips

Just had New Serp belt, pulley and tensioner, intake throttle body, new battery, new alternator

And I confirmed today that Engine/Trans/Diff ALL replaced new in 2018 @ 268K miles

$2800 out da door

Rust free north Texas truck
2004 ESV
6.0 LQ9 AWD
Black with tan neutral interior
Interior is MINT !!
17" chrome factory wheels are insane mint !!

Was told it was a vacation family hauler Mostly from TX to South FL. Wealthy family kept it in a plane hanger at airport ??
