Had the helmholtz resonator built / installed yesterday. It works awesome! No drone at 2k at all. Slightly less sound than I wanted below 2k, but I think the trade off is worth it.

He seemed pretty happy with it. He said it was only the 3rd one he’d ever done, and he’s been at it a long time. Lol. His partner was talking it up too, sounded like he had done quite a few.

They had a sweet BelAir in the shop, on the dyno -recently installed- but were having issues with the carb tuning, so I couldn’t get a video of a pull. [emoji20]

Then why did he talk you out of it in favor of a resonator the first time?

Installing a budget e-fan conversion. No access to a tuner but this should help out A/C performance at idle . Originally was planning to swap in a Taurus fan but came across some 09 fans .

Thank God you didn’t resort to putting Ford fans on. I mean, why would you do that anyway?

Nothing wrong with the Ford fan!
I had a Taurus fan on all of my S-series trucks. The current owner of my Xtreme is still rockin the Taurus fan I put on it 10+ years ago. The only modification he did was got a coolant temp sensor to replace the radiator probe for the Flex-A-Lite controller. It's more than enough for idling in traffic in 90+ degree heat, A/C on max, with the low speed circuit of the Taurus fan being ran at 60% power.

Yup, yup. Guess what?? New motor needs cam bearings!!:Angry::mf_pcwhack:
He's gonna call around to machine shops on Monday--he'd rather not do that. I'm ok with that. Anyone know what it might cost to do? I can't catch a damn break. Now, a longer wait!
