Ouch! Glad the block is alright. I have been looking for an RCSB to build because I don't want to mess with my Tahoe (need to keep one reliable vehicle), but now I am questioning whether I want to punish myself like you have! Haha.

Honestly if the first machine shop hadn't screwed me up with the wrong rings my RCSB would still be putting a smile on my face. This 370 should last me many years to come and hopefully I can make it my daily again.

RCSBs are so easy to work on!

Your Tahoe looks great BTW!

Well buddies 408 totally ate the crank. The rods were also magnetized but the shop un-magnetized them and the new eagle crank is balanced and ready to install.

Still going to be awhile before either this 408 or my 370 will be done but I like checking in on them weekly. And I figured carnage pics are always cool.

This is multiple surfaces of the crank not just one. That's how the shop determined low oil pressure was the cause of the failure. View attachment 252407 View attachment 252408 View attachment 252409

If you figure it out lmk. I have a couple camshafts I’d like to use for something besides garage ornaments.

Thanks!

I miss having something manual and everything I have done to the Tahoe has been cosmetic or comfort related. Haven't turned wrenches much lately other than doing a front seal on an Expedition trans. Time to actually build something!

If this photo was in an article for the 2021 Tahoe interior I would believe it.
I loosely based it off a Mercedes interior , not sure which one this is. I seen this and knew I wanted a few different colors mixed all together

That looks really good. Almost makes you want it to be dark all the time lol.
Well we’re starting to gain daylight here but still not very much lol.
that looks so damn good!
Thank you , I’m super happy with the outcome
Wow. Are there details on the light above the glove box that I missed?
I think in my build thread. It’s a led grille badge I built into the airbag cover.
Daaaamn. Looks great man!! Patriotic too. [emoji106][emoji631][emoji16]

Haven't done anything since I put my lights in. I need to get started on my interior lights. Yours came out great @05Single! I have bulbs to do mine in white. Need to get the gauge face without blue tint and I will be ready to go...

Yea I searched for this specific one, it’s called an led upgraded version of the Escalade face. So it has clear marking and no blue tint except just the turn signals iirc .... @Thatsquishykid717 might remember

have the shop or a school use it for show-n-tell

Ehhh To lazy to go find a school that would be grateful of my contribution.

That is awesome I may seriously do something like this! I have some blown up rotary engine parts laying around for art as well might be able to combine some stuff.

Amazingly the block checked out okay which is lucky.

Only thing I am not sure about is trans temp. I know it is possible to activate in the cluster, just not sure if all that is within my skills or not.
