Ya indeed, the high number of good reviews caught my eye, however the negative reviews also mostly mentioned that the pads are very dusty and/or wear down super fast.

You sometimes get what you pay for. I actually bought a Detroit Axle Front Hub just because it was priced so cheap with free shipping and was surprised how good it fit and it looked like the NAPA one I installed on the other wheel. Time will tell I don't put that many miles on and I can change it out with a better one if I have too.

I seem to remember Detroit Axle having quality issues with some other parts, can’t remember which exactly but from what I remember it was stuff wearing out super fast. I just read the first 20 reviews on these and I can say I sure wouldn’t be buying them myself. There’s quite a few people that said beware of the dust and the ****** pads in general. If it’s brakes, I go with a known good quality brand.

I think this is one of the conversations you are thinking about.

You should read the linked post. You could be riding with a ticking time bomb. There’s a time and place for cheap parts, and steering, suspension or brakes are neither. I would buy some Timken hubs before yours comes apart while you’re driving down the highway and causes a serious accident.

Thanks, yeah that’s one of them. Bad stuff. Companies like that should be sued until they have no money left.

I just wanna add its brake pads. I would try it. It's not something crazy like a hub that holds your wheel on. Which I gotta say I have a 04 Tahoe with 3/5 drop an sitting on 24s so u kno it's not good on front end parts. Well I bought some Detroit axle hubs about a year ago an still are doing good No noise or anything. I took a gamble buying them cuz yes if one fails I could lose a wheel. But I've not had a issue
