Tahoe Hybrid has more horsepower and more torque, however... Is it quicker than the regular (gas powered) Tahoe with the same gearing ratio?

Just wait 'til Brent sees this thread...

I dont think so, the Hybrid system controls everything for gas mileage GM did not set it up for acceleration know it throttles it back on a nhard acceleration. Amost impossible to get any wheel spin. Plenty of power though just not ever going to get a good hole shot LOL

So first gen software is better? Did the subsequent software update tone it down?

mine has first gen software
haha spin the tyres with TC on
if I was running at 3000-3500 rpm @v8 mode engine speed i'd hit 100-120 mph pretty quick that is what you guys run it at 80-85mph or so huh? on the norms or 3.73 or 4.10
2100 rpm is the cruse speed in v4 @ 80-85mph
theoretical the "top speed" is 145-155mph...
And spin the tires with a ‘lite’ tap on the left pedalLegend has it the '08 Tahoe can almost lift the front wheels...
reg Tahoe's have a 5.3 - hybrids get the 6.0 with increased hp and torqueSo the reg Tahoe is rated at 320hp and 340trq, while the Hybrid version is 332hp and 367trq.
Is that additional 12hp strictly from those two electrical motors? Or is that the standalone 6.0 Vortec tuned higher on the hybrid?
And if you smash on the gas pedal 0-60, do the electrical motors help propel the car past 30mph, or do they just completely shut off at that point?

it all happens automatically. Reliability seems good though batteries can lose their efficiency over time.So going into V4 or activating E-assist is all done automatically? Or do you have to toggle V4 on/off?
How is reliability of the 11-13 Hybrids?
the item most likely to fail is the oring on oil tube( which is also common on the 5.3 as well) I would NOT buy one if this is present on a used one ( it means it was driven with very low oil pressure for a long period of time??)..i was going to get a 2012 but the low oil pressure light was on who knows how long that has been on.So going into V4 or activating E-assist is all done automatically?
