Need some help with hood adjustment

I found a new to me hood from the salvage yard. It was aligned correctly on it's original vehicle, but doesn't align on mine.

As shown, the driver's side is about 1" higher at the front of the hood, but aligned correctly at the windshield........

I could use some help in how I should go about getting this aligned correctly. Thanks.

I'm not understanding. What I gather is that when it's closed, all is fine. But when you have it partially open, it's higher at the front? That's what happens when the hood is partially open- it's gonna be open more at the front. That's like saying you have an inexplicable gap in your window when you roll it down a little.

my guess would be the dented part on the left front would be why it sits that way, the damage probably occurred on the other vehicle, so you can try to either twist it or loosen the bolts and twist it then re-tighten it, the damage may be too much though and that's just the way it's going to be.

No, when it is partially open, the driver's side is approx. 1" higher than the passenger side.

I tried that. I had a 2x4 holding the passenger side open while I attempted to force the driver's side down - with the hinge bolts loose. No luck.
You may be correct in that it is mis-shapened and I will likely have to live with it. Although the damage on the passenger side is superficial,and it closed correctly on the donor vehicle.
