supposedly.....just swapping to the ls3 intake alone can add up to 50hp, just what I have read and I guess there not that expensive and it's supposed to be a straight swap. i would advise checking that info first though I'm just a internet dummy

Couldn’t you tell me this tmrw?
There goes my sleep tonight.

I could have given you a false lead there, it may applicable doing that with 5.3 -vs- doing with a 6.2, I may have been thinking the other way around

**what threw me off is my Silverado has the l83 but I can swap to the l86 intake and pick up a couple pony's

What's it going to cost to have all that installed? was that all included in the $1200 quote for the cam install you posted the other day?

Not quite...
I called another shop I’m trying to find space for/relocate. This wasn’t something they typically deal with but he did look up the hours involved according to the “book”. Since mine is AWD it’s supposedly a 19 hour job (2wd is 18.5) when you factor in removing the heads. He gave some recs for four other shops that specialize in LS builds that are local. Two of which I know without even calling would be priced higher. The third I called prior and they wanted $4400 including tune/parts.

Long story short I’m going with a $1600 labor option. I don’t trust the $1200 option. I’m sure I can find cheaper but I’m past the stage of doing it the cheap way. I’ve gotten ****** over way to many times.

ok, well I'm really curious how this plays out, what it ends up costing, what it sounds like and what you get out of it performance wise.

X2! Been wanting to do the same thing on the Yukon. Obviously different motors, but same concepts and I can extrapolate expectations from the noted gains. [emoji16][emoji106][emoji631]

Ended up going with another shop. Just the swap and DOD delete was going to be $950. Since I’m also replacing the oil pump he tacked on another $400 bringing the total to $1350.
Heading to Vegas in the morning. Hope I can foot the bill when I get back...

Hoping to pick it up Monday. Can’t wait.

That btr stage 2 is the 212/218 cam right? I have that in my 6.0 and love it!

That’s correct. Excited to see how this turns out.

Its a super torquey cam, makes the truck feel much more responsive IMHO. Excited to see how you like it!

Is yours the original version or the revised one? Supposedly the second gen has even more torque that the previous one.

Picked it up about an hour ago. Haven’t driven a ton but I do know I need BlackBear to revise the tune, it’s stalled a couple times already. Remote start isn’t working but I might need to clear codes. I haven’t checked that yet.

Here’s a warm start. I’ll get a cold one soon.

Apparently half my post didn’t make it.

Right now I really don’t notice much. Might be the tune though. It’s not running too hot right now.

Going to get BlackBear to revise it and go from there. Feel like I will end up getting a dyno/street tune.

I’ve heard trucks with the same setup (headers/cam) with factory exhaust and it’s way more aggressive. Maybe the tune? Hell if I know.

The exhaust smells super rich. And that’s straight E85.
