I have a little problem with my abs light(stays on)..So me & fellow member changed out the whole hub kit where i had a problem with the abs harness.. I reset it by disconnecting the batt. for half hour but that dam abs light is still on and cant pass my inspection out here hehe but some help or thought would be appreciated

Did you pull the code(s)?!??!?! What did it read? Check the wiring to make sure it isnt cut or open, I am currently having that problem in my Yukon but I just havent had time to replace the ABS sensor. You also might have to access the ABS module and clear the codes that way, I have never tried by pulling the battery cable since I have a scanner. I know it works for the check engine but not sure about ABS, although theoretically, it should since you are clearing the RAM.

Hey bro try going through the connectors, maybe a loose wire or bad connection. If not its possible the passenger side is dirty and might need to be cleaned...hopefully. Let me know if you need a hand.

+1 on cleaning my friend had that problem. my light doesn't come on at startup but I know it works, someone cut me off in the snow last week.

Hey 99yukon,I did the whole shabamm disconnecting the batt.,and it still on now...my boy fyremanpat helped me out and did a lil search,i tried it and no sir its not working..I went to advanced,they said it wont work unless u buy that programmer for abs(300.00 bucks) that will reset it or take it to ur nearest chevy dealer with the real tool,so tomorrow im going out to chevy Dee..

No, don't go to the stealership!!!!! Dude. You have super huge tires. Your ABS isn't going to work correctly anyway. Go under the hood, go into the relay panel, and pull the fuse for it for a week or two. It's the big blue 30 (EDIT: 60) amp one, IIRC (EDIT: I have pictures for you below). I'm on 35's, and the difference is amazing. The pedal doesn't fight back. But, you have to know how to drive. If you pop the facia around the dash off, there are 3 or 4 screws holding your dash panel on. It just pulls out, and you can pull the light. Too easy. That's my unsolicited recommendation for you.

Also, if you're in snow/ice/mud/sand/etc. going down a steep hill and try to slow down without downshifting for compression, often one wheel will slip (usually rear, which causes both rears to lock and then slip), and then your ABS will not allow you to continue to brake, which means you freewheel it down the hill. Not too good for someone at the bottom of the hill, or the front of your very sex rig, if I do say so myself... My $0.02.
