Thems purty

Thanks. Buddy of mine knocked them out of the park. It’s a titanium and glacier black mix.

The front coming in will be quite the welcoming to the neighborhood. Cold starts from day 1.

Ceramic coating???

Mine are titanium ceramic.

Correct

Cerakote C Series. Sent it to him and told him to surprise me. This is what he came up with. I like it. Picture/lighting make it look a little beige.

Headers are on and finally leak free from what I can tell. Shop that did the install ****** around and I gave up on it. Ended up taking it to my muffler guy to weld up.
Windshield is back to 35% again, wanted 20 but they didn’t have it in ceramic. Couldn’t pull the trigger on going to 15.

Had a couple issues with the black bear live tuning so I wasn’t able to get that done as hoped. Autocal should be here by the end of the week thankfully. V4 will drive you nuts with long tubes.

Got pulled over for the first time in awhile yesterday for not having a registration sticker on the dash. First time I’ve had an issue in 5 years without running one. Surprised the hell out of me.

Swapped out the factory pads/rotors for R1 concepts drilled rotors and ceramic pads. No real difference in stopping power. As far as I know they were the original rotors. Just crossed the 164k mark.

Also got the tune back from BlackBear. Engine runs smoother at idle and pulls harder in the middle and upper RPM range. Shifting is close to factory when you are cruising around with slightly higher shift points. When you flat foot it you can really tell a difference in the shifts. Much firmer and no delay between gears. I’m happy so far.

Anyone have a parts list for the rear main seal? That’s next on the list as well as a sensor under the steering wheel, so tired of lights on the dash.

Caddy is lookin real good! I like those rotors! I have the R1 drilled and slotted rotors and pads on my 2006 Denali XL. And I absolutely love them! Had them two years now with zero issues. Just now put pads on the back.

What’s involved in that? I had a shop do the install.

Just some quick stops. I just swapped the pads in my ‘03 Yukon to some powerstop ceramic carbon fiber pads and did 5 quick stops from 50-55 to about 20. Just barely shy of activating the abs. By the way, very happy with the pads! [emoji106]

Here is a quick search that gives you the basics...

How To Bed In Brake Pads | AutoAnything Resource Center
https://www.autoanything.com/resources/how-to-bed-in-brake-pads/

Basically you want to get the pads and rotors warmed up/hot and get some of the pad material to transfer onto the rotors evenly... keyword being EVENLY.

If you come to a complete stop during the process, like sitting at a red light, it will transfer more pad material onto the spot where your pads are sitting against the rotors and then you will have what many people refer to as "warped rotors".

Bedding them in should make a noticeable difference in performance.

Wow, Sounds like a cold start..? How’s she sound after warm up?

Healthy...
That was a coldish start. I’ll get a warm one soon and post it. I’ll also try and get some drive by videos. It’s an absolute riot under heavy throttle.
Cars with somewhat sensitive alarms don’t stand a chance, even just putting around. Super deep tone.

Did you ever get your brakes bedded in and di it make any noticeable difference?

Do you notice any major difference in performance with the headers?

The rush hour traffic I deal with should do the same thing as the process you linked.
Brakes still feel soft though. There is a decent amount of creep in the peddle.
I’ve replaced pads on two previous vehicles and both of those it removed the creep and made them pretty firm. Not sure what the difference is here.

For the headers. I installed them then ****** around for a few months before getting it tuned. Pre tune I could notice a difference in the mid and upper RPM’s. Now that’s it’s tuned it’s completely different. Now it’s time for more performance mods.

Did they give you a warning or a ticket? I've been wanting to the same.

Got a ticket for it. I’ve been pulled over 8-10 times without a registration sticker and he was the first one to say something about it. Guy was on his A game though. Dissected my exemption letter for tint, brought up my tinted tails, etc.

Here you go. Still working on drive by’s.

Just got quoted $1200 for cam install. Sound reasonable?
