Need Advice: looking at 16,17,18 Yukon Denali’s

Mpg depends on road condition, hills ups and down, and the weigh you carried.
I got 22 mpg two weeks ago from NJ-Orlando Florida and five kids plus two adults, full luggage which is crazy weigh.
This pick was in Maryland.

Our '16 has been flawless for 62,000 miles. Only complaint is rear seat. It is a seat in name only; not meant for humans. The Tahoe is great for 4 people. If you regularly haul more than 4, look elsewhere. This is especially true on trips. Wife and I took our son and DIL to the beach, along with 2-year old grandbaby. Tahoe was seriously lacking for space, especially compared to son's Honda Odyssey. We will never do that again!!!

We have the Suburban and can comfortably carry 7 adults and luggage.

Also enough space for two college kids with all their stuff for the school year.

Either the old 6 speed, I had 12 Escalade's from 2007-2012, never had an issue with the 6 speed trans, I am really loving the new 10 speed in my 2019, the only issue is you need to get the trans up to temp before it act like it should, IE do not beat it when it's cold

I got a pic up in this page, go up and take a close look at and you notice is very low temperature when you cruise on the highway. If you are going to traffic, you see the temperature goes high.
Let me know what you think that was with 900 miles none stop from Orlando to NJ.

Do you know if the compass at the center display can be switched on or off? Mine does not have the compass displayed and I don’t know how to show it up!

I have a 15 with the 8speed 50k on it perfect No problems so far

I have a '10 w/the 6-speed which was replaced two years ago. I hear it's normally a good tranny. However, we must've got a lemon.
The engines has about 135k and is fine. Exhaust Manifold bolts suck.

These trucks all have the same issues from 2002 to current.

Mag ride/air lift adjustable shocks
Power adjustable/heated seats
HVAC
Electrical Gremilns from time to time.. (mostly when the battery needs replaced)
Newer trucks(mine included)- Headlights

If you're going to keep it for a while like me just be prepared for some of this stuff. You can save a ton of money as DIY if you're into that.

Until the new wheels and tires get mounted this spring, my buddy owns a powder coating business and I am taking the 20’s in next Thursday to get coated high gloss black like the picture. I will post pics. When complete.
