So, I have read the sticky threads about the cluster swaps. Definitely some good looking mods in there!

On my 2000 NBS yukon, I want to add a trans temp gauge and change some decals/etc.
On the 00-02 styles, are these clusters pretty much plug n play excluding mileage?
Can I add in the factory trans gauge and overlay and itll function normally like it always had it?

So weird that the 00-02 years and the 03-05 are so different yet they look very similar. Seeing tons of info on the 03-05 years but my model year is kinda vauge.
Much appreciated guys

Yeah, the aftermarket kinda forgot about us with 1999-2002s.

We cannot just add the gauge - the electrical "plug" connectors on the circuit board are not there.

I am in the middle of soldering those connectors from a sacrificial circuit board onto my original and adding the correct type air core stepper motor.

********* as an aside, if anyone knows of a source for these connectors, please let me know. Thanks **********

Haven't gotten around to swapping clusters yet - too cold for that here in NE Wis. I understand that it is about a 50/50 chance of a cluster with the TT gauge as stock working. I don't know if my mod will work until I try.

Not sure what "plug connectors" you are talking about. Do you have pics? I thought that you just solder the stepper in, add the needle and the overlay.

The whole 50/50 working thing occurred in three middle of 2004. Anything early 04 and before should work without changing the eeprom chip coding.

The joys of working on pre-2003 Yukons !

This is the type of stepper motors we have :

Those posts on the bottom plug into electrical contact points on the circuit board. My camera will not focus in too closely, but this is what they look like :
