Selling my Yukon Denali need advice on how much to sell for?

Hey Guys,

It’s time to get rid of the Denali. Any ideas on what I should price it at? 07 with 169k miles. No issues at all too many new parts to list. Still looks great inside and out. Any ideas on what I should ask? Has every single option except retractable side steps.

price is subjective, price is also regional, the reality is you need to look at the same (or very similar) vehicles for sale in your area and see what they are asking, private party prices not dealer prices you will not get the dealers price you can try but you will just get low balled all day long, having service records helps to sell it but wont make the price any higher.
the best thing you can do to help sell it is clean it inside and outside, spit and polish everything, people like a nice clean ride.
so if your really ready to sell it get all your crap out of it and clean it leave it clean, take lots of pictures inside and outside, under the hood.

I purchased my 07 Yukon XL Denali one year ago for $14,000. Everything was functioning, it was spotless clean, it had 135k miles on it, and it had zero rust on it, as it had spent almost all of its life in North Carolina. I purchased it from a used car dealership in Massachusetts. When I was signing the papers, the sales person stated that he believed the truck was under priced by the dealership by at least $1000 (who knows...).

In my neck of the woods, an '07 Denali is for sale with retractable running boards and every other option with 89K 1-owner miles and the dealer is asking $14K. I was following an '09 with 172K miles for several months, the price is down to $11K and it is still for sale. They sell quickly at that mileage when priced around $8K.

Go to edmunds.com and input your car specs into their car appraisal tool. It'll give you a very good approximation of what your car will bring in your region as a Trade, as a Private Party sale and as a Dealer sale.

Agree with pricing similar vehicle in the area, that’s going to tell you a lot. Also, if you say something like: “too many new parts to list” does that mean you’ve had to do a ton of work on it, and you’re now giving up? Or does it mean, “I’ve put a lot of blood sweat and tears into making it what it is” etc... point being: people read something like that and don’t know what it really means. Some folks will shy away from an ad like that. I’d try to be a little more specific.

Depends on where your located Man. In the NY,NJ,CT,PA area your never getting that much for an 07.

Thanks, I have babied this truck for the last 5 years. I didn’t want to list all of what I have done on the forum just for timing and having to list everything. I have folder with 5 years worth of receipts of repairs and parts. Which I will definitely be listed in the ad and pass down to the next owner.

I'm close to Boulder CO, and for that price, it would sell in less than an hour. The 07-08 denali around here go for no less than 12k, even with almost 200k on them.

Yup. I paid 5k for my 03 Yukon with 180k on it and that was a damn good deal
