Then base and 2K clear as always. That blue as a satin look so good . Don’t worry about my messy garage, they say a messy work area is the sign of a genius

Not 100% perfect but close and I’m happy with it.

Broke my window vent over winter. Can’t really buy GM accessory parts for these trucks anymore so I searched till I was able to find one off a wrecked Tahoe . Took the old one off and sprayed the replacement

Btw , the primer filler I used on the grille

Mocked up the inserts to see how it will look. Not sure if they will look good or possible powdercoat them black or leave them out. (Feels like I’m copying another guy on here)

Have the grille curing in front of the heater for a few weeks till it warms up and roads are clear of gravel from winter

So of course not a day later after I paint the grille this pops up on Craigslist. Guy wanted 100, talked him down to 50. Unlike the last grille this one is in near perfect shape :facepalm:

Now you swap it up when you wanna feel a little different. That grill came out great. How's the HD grill? Any cracks or peeling chrome?

HD grille is perfect shape. Little wrinkle on the chrome on the drivers side which doesn’t matter because it will get sanded and painted later. No cracks , no broken tabs or clips. Mesh is perfect. Very good shape.

Yea the grille sucked and that lead paint sucked but I picked up that grille for a reason , I wanted to see it finished and done right, also it’s probably the rarest aftermarket exterior piece you will ever see for out trucks. Worth the effort imo

Wish I could find a deal like that on an HD grille in my neck of the woods! I need to focus on getting a bumper first though. Tired of looking at the wrecked junk on mine.

Lol well he just beat me to it lol. But I'm glad he did his first, shows how sexy it looks with those inserts, definately motivation. Either way now that I have an hd grille I can focus on that, so eventually I'll get rid of the grille hopefully soon for a HD swap

Kind of a crazy idea. Got some obs mirrors. Gonna be a time consuming project of trial and errors. Messed with them last fall but didn’t have time to go too deep into the fabrication so they were put on the back burner, only mocked them up. At first glance they look better and sportier imo , and make the stock mirrors look like dumbo ears now.

So I recently painted them when I painted the grille. Also painted a rear keyless handle to replace the front passenger side, so no doors will have keyholes in them (theft deterrant)

yes everything will get a wet sand after curing.
