Same battery that had that corrosion issue on the terminal?

Nope. That was the Suburban and it got a new AGM battery. No issues now.

Tahoe diagnosis TBD but that cold front is getting down to 48-50F tonight. Might be too cold to mess around with it....

That's cold? Lol. Here's the temp in my bedroom the other night. Bedroom is on the right, the left is outside.

Now that's my kind of weather! Don't forget, that's IN my bedroom. Sweet.

Positive pressure? What’s that, on a traditional shock that has no air in it? I have Bilsteins too. They do not change how high my truck sits, believe me I know. I was running 26’s with close clearance to the fender, went from totally worn out shocks to new Bilsteins. Didn’t gain a fraction of an inch. They’re just dampers.
I was running the dodge 1500 bilstein that are always under pressure. It is a hydraulic shock. But it does more than dampen. The ones I installed raised my front about 1/2" and rears closer to an inch. Running a shock for lifted vehicles is completely different than the needs of a lowered one.

A/C still set but won’t go off tonight. Be back to near 80 by Friday and 85 by Monday. Sigh.... the 2 seasons of Florida.

Just changed the air filter too. Damn dogs hang out next to the return and it sucks the dirt and hair in all the time.

Went out to start the 06 last night after getting back in town with the 13. Truck had only sat for 3 days since last drive. No previous issues.

Doors unlocked with the fob, interior lights came on, turned the key, barely cranked, clicked, tried to wind down to nothing, clicked then started to crank and fired up. Voltmeter read 14. Let it run, then let it sit for 2 hours.

Same scenario. Took the battery to O'Reily's late last night to charge and test. Report is 1/4 life left. Interstate battery is at its 5 year mark currently and never given me trouble.

I ordered a battery on Cyber Monday just in case since it was $40 off, but a similar situation with a friends Yukon led him down this path. He replaced the battery, the alternator and finally found that it was likely the starter in the first place even after he switched stuff out.

I thought about trying the Suburbans new battery (different size and top mount as compared to the Tahoe side mount and tight spot next to the fuse box) just to see if that might give me another look before I buy that new battery or go down the new starter route.

Thoughts and input welcomed. Thx.

I love Interstate Batteries, but every single one I've had has done that. They don't really taper off, they just perform right up until the end of their lifespan and hit a brick wall.

Got 5 years so no complaints on that one. Will update in my build thread shortly but that Interstate was turned in as a core.

You know the 2 seasons of Florida. Summer hot and humid and winter aka not summer a little less hot and humid, but always hovering near the 80s. Lol

Accurate

Oh, it wasn't a complaint... just an observation lol. If I could afford it, I'd run nothing but IB.

Worn out springs will change how it sits but shocks shouldn’t. They’re not meant to do anything but absorb shocks , not support weight unless they have air bladders like some of the rears.
Well I have the autoride. One rear air shock is fine, the other is completely blown. Which are designed to "level" the trucks height. I'll just get shocks this week and get an alignment next week. Was just curious, was getting all sorts of answers lol.

Fixed my heat problem. Turns out my resistor went bad. But I also found out that water is getting in my system from a car wash and pouring onto the resistor. I took it apart (after replacing it, the unit was brand new) and dried it. Then sealed it with some silicone. So far so good.

I also recalibrated the system which seemed to help a little
