It's all very subjective.

I lowered mine 1" in front and 2" in the back.

McGaughys front springs, rear springs with shock relocators.

Then I added Monroe shocks.

Sure make a difference in handling (shocks too) but, no, not a "must."
Not at all really.

Again depends on how low. Mine is 2/3 with front spindles and mcgaughys springs. I didn’t do sway bars or shock relocation and ride and towing 4000 lb boat is fine. When I replace my shocks I’m adding rear sway bars, Norcalss mini bump stops and shock relocation. I have air suspension not sure about yours. Good luck

I think you should decide and post here how much you’re looking to lower your rig. That will help determine what components and kit you should be looking at.
