Yes, dont buy the first year model change of any vehicle, get a 19, trade it in about3-4 yrs from now and you’re goid.

Erm, there's only one thing worse than buying the first year into a gen change, and that's buying in the last year before a gen change and that depreciation nightmare.

That’s exactly what I was thinking. I have a 2016 now. I get a new one every two or three years.

I get it .....but, Id rather take the depreciiated pos that i can drive than have the new pos in the dealership every other week/month that just sits.

Edit: given gm’s track record on these truck the last few model changes...

I agree with you. What i’m Saying is buy or keep a 16, 17, or 18 and wait till the 21. Just don’t buy either a 19 or 20.

What are the differences between a 18 and a 19?

Im guessing that they’re going to be minimal going into the last year of a generation. Usually they take away and add a color and some small option upgrades.

Mikef, Google is your friend. Difference between the 2018 and 2019. One new color, two old colors gone and a new rear badge for the Premier.

I remember my mother buying the new 97 Malibu when it came out. It might have been serial #5. After 3 years that thing had more issues than the housewives of NJ

...But if it (2020) looks really good, I might not be able to help myself, lol

In America, they’ll always give you a car loan, and a loan for practically anything. I love this country!

I'm 16. Not sure if it's legal for me to take out a loan yet :D

Without reading through all of these pages. Can someone sum up what we know about the 2020. What improvements are made? Wondering if I should get a 2019 or wait for the 2020. Thank you.

Damn, i hope you do more research than that when looking for a new vehicle haha. 'hey someone on a forum give me a *completely factual list* of highlights so i can drop $75k on a whim' o_O

2020 is a safe bet being the new pickups are coming out sometime in 2018 for the 2019 model year.

Just hope the auto stop/start will have a defeat switch on them...I heard the 2018 Traverse doesn't have an off switch for the auto stop/start but some other models do.
No, the traverse does not have the ability to turn that off, and honestly, it's a little rough on the traverse compared to other vehicles.
