Hi,

I have noticed that the Denali, as well as the newer models of the Yukon, have different headlight housings with LED lights. If I buy 2012-2014 Headlight housings, will it be plug and play?

Have any of you had experience switching out the stock incandescent bulbs to LED's? Is there a brand superior to others? I have read about some LED headlights not correctly aiming the light pattern, as compared to stock. Is this still an issue, or has it been taken care of?

I've replaced all of my incandescent bulbs on my 2007 Yukon XL Denali, inside and outside, with LEDs from JDM ASTAR. The difference is simply amazing. They worked with me to identify the correct LEDs, guiding me through some clearance issues peculiar to my Yukon, but at the end of the project, I am completely sold on the performance of JDM ASTAR LED conversions. I hope that this helps you in your evaluations.

the headlight housing on the Yukon/Denali is the same from 07-14, you may have seen some aftermarket housings or retro fitted housings with LED's or Projectors, Halo's etc. you can easily swap to HID's with no clearance problems, LED headlight bulbs may require modifications to fit, some have cooling fans and some have heatsinks. changing the blinker bulbs to led will require resistors or you will end up with a hyper flashing blink (mine hyperflash but I don't care, eventually I will put in resistors someday).

RETROFIT. Ignore the fat asian dude....he is of no concern.
Also, like double.......said. LED Signal bulbs with resistors complete it nicely. The factory road lighting is horrid. Even the fogs are better than some, but not great. TRS/MORIMOTO sells actual Plug and play LED fog light for 07-14 Yukon/Tahoe with the round foglights.
I wont lie. I expected a bit better lighting from the fogs. They are good, but I wish they were brighter. The possibilities of getting better lighting depends on your budget and time. Good luck.

I'm still going to keep looking for fogs, I replaced mine, and they are bright when looking at them, but the light is scattered everywhere(it lights up trees), fogs need a focused beam...

Check out the Morimoto LED Fogs for our bodystyle. Google and youtube will be your best friend here. Many reviews and for $200-$220 and replaces the whole fog light.
