next I put all my cheap black plastic handles on ;)

she's definitely starting to look a lot better in my opinion!

hopefully this week I'll get all my lights installed, put my roof rack back on (I took it off to paint matte black and underestimated how difficult it would be to put it back on by myself, and ended up stripping some bolts and crap... waiting for my dad to help me with that), get my new rims on, LEDs installed, and some other things

I like that Plasti Dip Denali job. Spray the whole area and peel it off. Overspray where? lol

I always like your mods. Always a surprise and something different. I'm never a fan of black handles, but I like it here cause I've never seen a Denali with black handles so I say roll with it. Cant wait for more. Do you broski :waytogo:

Yeah it works awesome!

Plasti-dip is probably one of the coolest products I've ever used. The possibilities are so endless

haha thanks fellas. it makes me feel a bit better knowing others think it was a good deal

I honestly had instant buyer's regret driving this one home. $4800 was so steep for something with nearly 200k miles... but that damn 6L keeps the value of these things up

I like the black Denali letters! Looks good! Not a fan of the black handles, nor the running board delete.... but to each their own!!! Looks like you’re having fun with it and that’s what matters!

Thanks! Yeah I had never seen someone dip the emblems (atleast on a Denali) and I LOVE how it looks.

The coolest part about these vehicles is they're ridiculously common, but you can (relatively) easily change almost everything on them.

They're like lego SUVS, so everyone can have their own unique look to a common vehicle

When he gets old he'll keep the running boards! LOL

LOL

Today as I was putting my roof rack back on I kept thinking "damnit why didn't I keep the running boards for one more day?"

Thanks :)

It's cool having a GMC SUV since they're ever so slightly different, same with the Denali trim.

Today, with my dad's help we were able to get quite a bit done.

Got my roof rack put back on, all new LED bulbs (AuxBeam 9005s and 9006s, and JDM Astar 3157 switchbacks for the turn signals), and new housings for all the lights.

I've still got to swap out the rear hatch handle for my black plastic one, but it was already getting dark.

I should've taken before and after pictures of visibility with halogens and then LEDs, but I didn't think of it unfortunately

Not that leds suck , just that if youre gonna upgrade anyway hids are still superior. Leds are obviously still brighter than halogen but you will have dark spots, sometimes not bad, sometimes it's actually pretty dangerous....but it's usually fine and safe.
Only bulbs that suck would be the coated halogen bulbs from china, those are trash and super dangerous.

I have spyder headlights on my 2006 Denali, and I went with LED, instead of HID for upgraded bulbs. I wanted plug and play, and not super expensive. Mine are excellent. I don’t have any issues, they’re bright as crap, and nobody flashes their high beams at me when lows are on. Are HIDs awesome, yes! But LEDs work great and are a viable option.

the thing I don't like about the Chevy ones is the badges are all one thing, so you can't get the cutout, individual letter effect that I have

my dad plasti-dipped his emblems on the Suburban and it drives me crazy lol

I want to remove them so badly but he won't let me

It saddens me that you have so many pics of the tahoe on a flat bed, like it's normal in the every day life of Tony :(

for real, what kind of issues do you have where a Tahoe would ever be on a trailer in the first place? :O

I actually never even considered HIDs.

on the Grand Prix forums everyone suggested LEDs and they were easy and cheap, so I went that route

You can dip the tahoe and suburban badges then use paint markers to create a different look. Kinda how I did my hoe badge.

Otherwise i agree it just looks like a blob of black on the side of the door/liftgate, with no distinction of what it us.

I’ve seen a couple NBS trucks with 2007^ badges which are individual letters! Have a client with a 99 NBS style silvy, and she did a few new things to it, and one was NNBS silvy badge letters, in gloss black, on a white truck and looks really good! Super clean! You could always go that route

I have some tahoe ones but decided not to use them. But black nnbs letters would look good on tonys

I have nnbs GM badges on my doors but that's it

I'd take the badges off, but they were taped off at one time, along with the side mouldings, and painted around. So you'd see paints lines and whatever else. I hate chrome or anything chrome like, so to me it just looks better as a black blob lol.

I keep getting transmission and trans cooling line issues. Hopefully those have been solved.
