$473 installed. The glass shop had to order one; hopefully it will be ready to pick up tomorrow. Then I need to get the replacement glass tinted.
Don't solder them, use conducting epoxy from www.frostfighter.com, It's all I'll ever use to put those stupid tabs back on. Stuff is awesome. That's why I didn't resolder my defogger connector back on yet! Just in case it shatters like yours did. Glad nobody was hurt.
I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure you don't need to replace the whole hatch, just the glass.I looked, but you gotta replace the whole hatch on if I understand correctly. The one they had at the local yard was the wrong color and I didn't want to have to paint
No, the glass is easily removed and replaced by itself. I pulled mine, fixed the grid tabs, and reinstalled the glass. just remove the gas shocks and then there's one or 2 small bolts to remove and then it slides out to the side.I looked, but you gotta replace the whole hatch on if I understand correctly. The one they had at the local yard was the wrong color and I didn't want to have to paint
