Cuff him, give him the perp walk out of day care, and throw him in the back.

Its the little solenoid on the side of the starter that engages the starter to the flywheel. Years ago we could replace it,.. now adays we just get a new starter, no biggie.

Ok. Luckily I got the starter with the lifetime warrany from advance auto. So once I get this starter off I'll bring it to them and get a new one. A shop local to me said they would throw the replacement in for me for cheap. I would swap it out myself but I work midnights and need sleep and don' have time to do it :/

so the starter ******** the bed was kind of a blessing in disguise. My guy i brought the truck to today informed me that the passenger side wheel felt loose and when I got home my upper ball joint wasn't all the way tight. The wheel would move a good 1/2" back and forth! I tightened that up and it' good to go.

Also he only charged me $75 to swap starters out. Well worth it for me to pay that so I could go home and get some sleep for work tonight!
