I just shipped a set of fender flared and mud flaps to a guy in VT.

UPS charge for 7 day GROUND delivery = $193.00
USPS charge for 2 day express delivery (with tracking) = $14.70

How ridiculous is that!

I agree 100% however, if you haven't had a problem with USPS you won't see any assistance or payout on lost product for up to 180 days on average. Like pulling teeth with them.

Funny I just recently shipped a motorcycle exhaust to a buyer in NC, from GA USPS wanted to charge me waaay more for the oversized box and UPS was only like 47 bucks. Sure you didn't have the roles reversed?

No but what I think happened is that the young clerk didnt know how to catagorize the item properly. she was on her computer screen for quite a while before she told me the price.
I have shipped many times with UPS all shapes and sizes and never been charged that kind of fee.

But hey, it's now shipped and on it's way to VT

I always go USPS. But they have a size and weight limit, where UPS will pretty much ship anything. It's too bad DHL doesn't ship domestic anymore, they were my favorite.

We get charged the infamous UPS brokerage fee for bringin' stuff across the border. Funny thing is, they can't tell you how much the fee is? Different everytime. I bought a service manual for $100 one time and UPS charged me $125 brokerage fee! I think they just pick a number out of a hat, lol.
