Anyone done side exit exhaust?

Good question. I’ve seen several cars done that way and I like the look. The other option I’m considering is moving the exhaust where the muffler ends before the rear axle and the tips point down but I’m afraid of causing a highway drone.

I haven't seen that style done on a Tahoe/Yuk before.
G-Wagons have them and it looks pretty cool but its also a dual set up on both sides. Not sure its possible seeing we have the gas tank on the drivers side.
I'd be a little weary about dumping at all in an SUV. Never mind about the drone I'd be more concerned with the Carbon Monoxide (CO) poisoning.

Yeah the g wagon looks dope with it and yeah I agree exhaust fumes might be bad when windows are down. I found a random pic of a Tahoe with it in my phone.

That’s exactly what I was looking for. I wonder if that is true dual or a dual tip. I want them to exit the same side like that but not sure I want to modify the entire exhaust. Thanks guys. Oh, and what’s a game wagon?

Think over time heat from the tips would distort the running boards? They are only plastic.

So is my back bumper/quarter panel.....NNBS... i know its further back but mines about 1/4-1/2” away and no probs
The exhaust tips don't get hot, they're too far back. Go check it out next time after driving. Pretty warm, yes, but not hot.

As for the heat, I don't think they'd heat them up but speaking from experience they "exhaust" enough heat to melt my passenger rear light harness after removing my rear muffler

Good point. I thought about back seat folks getting burned. I looked for a kit and saw several from flowmaster but no videos about alterations or welding. I’d assume some hangers would need to be welded to the frame. Also didn’t see a Yukon kit.
You should take a look at where your muffler is. I believe mine's right there where you're talking about having the exit. I'm not sure if there would be room.

Maybe because mines a Denali and has dual exhaust all the way back to the inlet of the muffler.
I just don’t remember how far back the muffler is in relation to the wheel... technically tho, a shorter muffler like a mf 12589 will give plenty of room.... if they are looking to replace muffler also

If you were to use the stock muffler, you could shorten the front section going into the muffler to pull it forward and then you'd have plenty of room to swing it out the side.
Or like Galante mentioned, if you go with a new shorter muffler, that would also work.
They also make bolt on hangers, no welding at all.
