Finally got them installed today, thumbs up to Max for the help. I buy his lunch and the parts, he hooks me up on the install.

Truck rides 10x better now, it's like night and day going from blown stockers to the 5100s. Raised the front back up quite a bit too. I cranked the t-bars a little bit more to compensate for the blown shocks up front, now it sits front high.

Gotta lift the back up a little more now I guess. :D

Max, we gotta get together again when it's nicer out for a mirror height comparison picture, lol.

He's a good dude to have nearby. I'm envious of his exhaust setup, his denali is a beast.

Gotta get some tint and some Z-71 or H2 coils and I'll be set for a while...

I was waiting for this post Yuke. Max told me he was putting these on for you and he recommended the 5100 Bilsteins for my 06 Tahoe as well when I put my leveling kit on next week. Can't wait to get em on with my new tires and wheels too. Thanks for the heads up on those Bilstein's Max!

You shouldn't have any issues with them and it'll ride awesome. I wish they made a shorter 5100 for my truck.

Sounds like everyone is stoked on the Bilsteins!!
Guess I get to join in on the celebration because I just finished installing Bilstein HDs on my front end (yeah it was a night job), haven't taken it on a spin yet though so I'm in anticipation!!

You'll love em man. I've been looking forward to throwing these things on for a long time, it's really nice to finally have them done. I live in a particularly bumpy section of the city right now, since the HOA bastards never plow the back roads when in snows. It's all packed ice now, with chunks breaking free from the warmer weather. I had to crawl through here before because it jolted the truck so much, but not anymore. I can fly over that shit without thinking twice about it.

Just snapped this one. Its sitting just a little front high now. Gotta get me some springs...and maybe double up the isolators like Max suggested.

Also, I was having rubbing issues just running the 285s...305s will require some trimming to clear, and even then they might rub. Just FYI.

Hmmm...just found some 2" black delrin coil spacers on e-bay. Might grab those to replace the 1.5" aluminum spacers I have now...

Did those bilsteins cause that increased height up front? I'm having those bilsteins installed in the front and rear with a 2.5" front, and 1" rear readylift kit hopefully sometime this week if my wheels come in. I'm hoping I will not have that height increase up front.

Just have them level the front when they install the keys. I think his springs are pretty sagged your truck should sit higher.

They are - they are 10 years old lol. I'm hoping that the Z or H2 coils plus the new spacers will make it sit nice and pretty in the back. We can adjust the t-bars later on if it's still front high after the new stuff, but I'm gonna leave them alone for now.
