The factory FOBs have a 1 or 2 molded into the back side of the case.
Then mine must have not been a factory original fob. Because it doesn’t have a 1 or 2 etched on the back like some I’ve seen. It just has the sort number. I’ll attach a pic.

This is the fob that came with my truck when I bought it.

Funny thing is, I've never seen "driver 1" or "driver 2" on the DIC and I don't remember it in the menu anywhere. Maybe I'll have to play with that again. We just use the buttons on the door to recall seat and mirrors for whoever is driving.

Hmmmm….. didn’t mean for it to come across that way but I can see how it could. And usually the names I get called are a lot worse than that. :Big Laugh: I didn't have any choice about what came with, no picking and choosing, so I figure I got what I got. I needed two sets of FOBs/keys so I picked up the two aftermarket FOBs.

Tell ya what, @HiHoeSilver, I didn’t pair the #1 with mine and I don’t use it, so if you want it, it’s yours. Just PM me with a mailing address and I’ll have my a$$ drop-kick it your way. Battery is good, but there’s one chip in the case edge so it’s not perfect, but it was working fine before I programmed my two replacements. Can include programming instructions.

Lol, I was just ragging ya! I have 2 working fobs. Plus, I looked through the menus again, I don't see anywhere to turn on /off the whole 2 driver thing... Next stop, owners manual. My extra fob/key have just hung on the rack since I got them, lol. It's really just there for an "in case" situation.

Yeah, the only time my second set gets used is if the kid (Nate is his name by the way) needs it for something.

Or if I misplace my keys (wait, that never happens....). Now where did those things go?
