I think I found it. It was cutting the fender wall of the intake box right?

Yes. There is a plastic brace that runs diagonally across the "mouth" of the intake box. I cut that out and the corresponding metal on the inner fender.

so far, it has been very accurate for me. i have 3 bar sensor installed.

gat0r is correct. The OEM MAP doesn’t read higher than 2psi. I too have GM’s 3 bar sensor but it can’t be installed until the tuning is done. The boost reading without an additional gauge/mount/etc. is the main reason for my buying this DashLogic/AutoMeter DL1061U.

So the dashlogic will read correct with the 3bar and the whipple canned tune?
Does the whipple kit come with the 3 bar map sensor?

Whipple’s tune requires the factory installed MAP be re-used, unfortunately. Upgrading to GM’s 3 bar MAP requires a re-tune.

Does the dash logic have to stay plugged into the OBD-2 port for functionality, or are the changes made and the dongle removed?

Hello amigo, could you share with us the parts you bought for the dashlogic/autometer please.
Thinking doing a hidden OBD Y for this.
Thank you

Unless something has changed in the past couple of years, you can only use one thing at a time in the OBD port. You can have two things plugged in, using a Y but, the way it is addressed, only one will work. The exception to this is if one of those items is only a power port (not using the vehicle network).

Unless, of course, you are doing this just for aesthetics...

I have a 16 denali, what yo do the Whipple set like yours. (Is the larger pulley and Z06 fuel pump required or just recommend) I’m also looking to do front and rear wilwood TX6R big brake kits. Any chance you send me some pricing and your recommendations. I currently have an AFE intake and corsa sport exhaust. Thanks!
