That looks awesome. Was it pretty straight forward to replace? Someone who is mechanically incline could do it in an afternoon? Any special tools needed?

Yes, you could do it in a couple hours. You have to remove the seat from the vehicle. Only special tool that most people don't have lying around was E-Torx sockets to remove the seat. I believe it was 20mm and 14mm. 20mm needs to be a deep well socket. Go to their website and watch the YouTube install videos. They will help you.

You can use normal 6 or 12 point sockets instead of the reverse Torx, I don't remember which one's but I didn't have to buy the E-torx ones.
Edit: found this "

the front bolts can be removed with a 6 point 15mm socket and the rear bolts use an 11mm 6 point socket." They fit the special bolts fine, just make sure they're seated all the way down and one of those needs to be a deep socket. I just checked my truck since I'll be doing my front seat cover again next week and the 6-point 11mm and 15mm work fine.

Has anyone replaced the main rear hatch seal? Mine falls out all the time.
The rubber seal has a metal frame inside that can't be crimped down to bite back down on the pinch weld. Did it to mine and my brothers Denali and it never came back off again.

Owe it to @ScottyBoy for showing me that trick :Handshake:

Unless the metal inside is rusted and crunchy......:D

True, the one on my brother's Tahoe was like that. It was falling off so I tried to help him get it to stay on by squeezing it with a pair of channel locks. But the I heard it crunching apart. We found a nice looking gasket in the junkyard though for only $20. I didn't I install it though, that was right before he had it painted back in 2006, so he had his painter install it during re-assembly after the paintjob.

Getting ready to change the oil in my 2004 Suburban and I noticed today that the DIC says oil life is 0% but it has not flashed an oil change type warning. Since this is the first time since I bought it that the oil needs changing I was wondering why no warning? A co worker said sometimes it has to go so many miles past 0% before it issues one. I started researching this which lead me to this GMC page http://www.gmc.com/gmc-life/performance-and-design/what-your-oil-life-monitor-tells-you.html and one thing that caught my attension was "An engine contains thousands of moving parts, like valves, pistons, camshafts, and so on. " I call BS I don't believe for one minute there can be 2000 moving parts in an engine. Does anyone have a list of parts and a number. I would think a v8 would fall far short of their number just wondering.

So far then, it's only 2006....

Might be the LS trim though?

No complaints, but I do not have some of the bells and whistles of the LT and above trim levels. Actually kind of like it that way compared to my mechanics LT.

Yep, then it's only useful as a stylish necklace or a kung fu headband:893karatesmiley-thu

And buy a new one at $100+ or like Scotty said find a solid one at a junkyard for $20-
