What type of tint did you get and how much?

I went to the best tint shop in town, they quoted me $289 out the door for a full Suntek carbonXP film, lifetime warranty.

Back door 15%
Rear side windows 15%
Back doors 15%
Front doors 25%
Trimmed And matching Ls1 line 5%

3M Color Stable 20% on all sides and rear, 50% on windshield. $400 all total.

I'm very happy with it, and while I'd prefer it a little darker all around, I don't want to get hassled from police. I figure this isn't dark enough for them to bother me as long as I'm not doing anything else to get pulled over.

Another local shop wanted $400 for just the sides and back, no windshield, using Llumar's ceramic tint.

Luckily the law in misery is any darkness up until the front doors, then it's 35% for the front doors.... buuuut, I'm doing 25% , I have 4 friends with total black outs and they never get hassled.... I assume it's because they are more concerned with meth and ****** addicts than writing tint tickets...

And in the country where I live, no-one messes with you unless you are doing 20 over... I wave at the sheriff doing 66 in a 55... oddly, he waves back.. the rule of thumb here is under 0-9, your fine, 10+, you're mine..but that's city rules, in the country where tax payers open carry and have land, they tend to save alone.. they want arrests and duis, not tickets

Sounds like how things are here. Generally keep it less than 10 over and you're fine unless it's a slow day and they need to meet their quota. And same laws on the tint - anything goes on the back, but only up to 35% on the front windows and nothing on the windshield. I don't expect to get hassled though. I've had tint this dark on previous cars and never had a problem.

I have 30% front windows and definitely want darker. But my last truck had 5% up front and got hassles every time I tried to get a state inspection. Never had cop issues though.

I did 20% over the stock 18 in the rear and love it. Perfect darkness back there.

I paid 200 for it, lifetime warranty, lumar ceramic tint. Shop was running a Groupon sale and forgot to advertise extra fees for big vehicles hahaha. Made them honor the deal

In excited about the tint, have a few other things I have to do to the truck before tint (ac changeout, cal, then tint)

NBS is 5% all around with top strip. Less than $200, but cannot remember exactly.

NNBS is 15% all around. $200. Kept it a little lighter for the wife's DD.

Probably get both windshields done at some point.

Those are the stock gm rims.

I have 5% on all the rear windows and I think the front's are 35%, l leave windshield stock, it was about $350 or close to it

15% rear roll downs and back window, 25% front roll downs...need to replace windshield before I get my windshield tinted, but probably doing 50% on that.

Tint was included with my Yukon...but usually go to my old shop tech that does it for $60-100

100 for two front side and windshield ‘strip’ when i pulled it off for ******* NY state inspection i left winshield and bought a $15 roll of tint and did the two fronts myself.

5 percent on all windows except front 2 and windshield. those have 15. will have to pull off the front two for ****** inspection this year. in nyc anything less than 70% on front 2 is illegal on SUV. now they got state inspections including this smh. honestly i keep tools and expensive equipment in my truck and i rather them not be able to see in than leave it clear for junkies to walk by and catch a glimpse. i got my window busted when it had no tints for ********. so far so good. long as you dont drive like a ******** or the car packed with goons you wont get pulled over.

I have the factory tint on the rear doors, rear side windows, and the hatch. I believe it's 20% or close to it. I had my two front doors and a 10% windshield strip done back in 2006 for $100 for everything. Still looks good all these years later except for all the tiny chips in the tint on the Driver's door from my seatbelt buckle hitting it when I take off my seat belt. And I no longer have the windshield strip because I had to get a new windshield and I never had the strip redone.
I believe it was 20% Johnson window film with a lifetime warranty that I had them put on the front doors. I left everything else factory and it's dark enough for me "most" of the time. Sometimes I think I should tint my windshield with 50% or maybe even 35%
