there we go. too big a file on the first try, sorry!
Nice! I'd love to have that body, but with modern underpinnings and interior.
Nice job friend! Looks good! Amazing hoe sine of a mod this actually is if you have all the right pieces! Lol. Looks very clean and classy on your truck!Escalade Roof Rack swap install
i know there is a few of these in the forum. But i might as well show my process.
Remove the old one. Used a Torx T-25. 10 Bolts. 2 on the front of each rail, 2 on the rear of each rail and one in the middle of each rail.
![]()
you have to slightly pull up on this tab to release the feet from the rails.
(i took the pic after it was off for more light)
![]()
Then just slide your old rails off the channels and take all the pieces off
Gosh, it looks so clean with NO Rack i almost changed my mind and left it!
![]()
cleaned the dirt and residue a little
![]()
install the anchors into the center hole of each rail.
![]()
place the new esky rail over that hole and then slide the rail forward until your front and rear mounting holes are aligned
![]()
once it's lined up, don't forget to put the plastic feet UNDER this. (i forgot this step the first time)
![]()
but luckily, i unscrewed it and fit them under it after the fact
![]()
Screw all the rails back on then slide your cross arms back on from the rear.
(there is a safety tab/notch on the front that prevents it from being over slid, so bring em in from the rear of the vehicle)
![]()
tilt the end cap edge into the chrome rail then you can push them into place snug.
![]()
All done!

On the hunt for some tail lights now?thanks man. now i am staring at it in my garage and the whole rear half of my denali looks so escaladish. not sure if i am going to keep it or remove it. but it's staying for now. i know one thing, it sure makes my tail lights look ugly now![]()

Yeah, join the crowd! It is fun tho, expensive, but fun.ugh. haha, i really need to get off this Forum. the ideas and inspiration is sending my $$$ into a frenzy!
Here we will help you spend your money! Lol. At least that's been my experience! My denali's back end is mostly esky. Haha third brake light swap and vent cap panels are esky swaps. I decided to do both to tie in with the esky racks. And I love the look.
Oh hell just go ahead and jump up to the real stuff like a blower if you really wanna throw some cash at it lol. Oops I may be a bad influence.
I just have one from the drivers seat from a rolling start that's toward the end of my build thread. I want to get my cam and headers installed before I video again.haha, thats more than i paid for the whole truck! i wish man. do you have a video of yours launching?
