Thanks to @massivespl for the recommendation on a box , I took the challenge. Only having trucks previously I've only built shallow mount box's. This was a whole different beast, but I think I did ok.

Then I built a box for the box lol.
Kind of a theft deterrent. Used 2 large home depot box's glued together. Added a ledge at the bottom of the box up and away from air flow. This way it can slide off and on when needed. Have storage on top. But quickly realized it was way too huge lol . I trimmed it down like shown in previous post.
Facing up is best for our trucks but again for those curious thieves I faced mine down.
Still need to write blow up doll storage on the box, or dirty laundry, or ******. Something to scare people away lmao

Didn't change anything with the amp deck or wires , but ever since I put in the bigger box my amp cuts out at higher volumes. Never did that before. Flashes into protective mode for a split second on certain songs and bass tones. I'm at a loss of what it could be. All I literally did was change the wood.

Maybe it's thumping harder with the lows so it's working harder, getting hotter...... Maybe? Does the amp feel warmer then it used to?

No its not getting any hotter. Unhooked the sub and checked volts, all normal. I'm about to put it back in the old box to test it.
With the new box it hounds waaaayyy more, I was impressed what airspace can do.

That's a beefy box. Did you port it?

Ported. Tuned to 32hz. 2 cu ft. Double walled face. 2,708 screws and a tube of liquid nails.
It's pretty beefy. It sounds amazing. Needs more power tho. Have a fosgate 400w 4ch amp bridged at 200. So I might be getting 150w max. Way underpowered but I am getting a new amp in a month and atm this never gets driven. Till then the few times I drive it I can bump a little.

Finally got some new heads. Apc brand . Originally looking for clear reflector heads not projectors but couldn't pass up a deal on these. Plus all I need is the lens for a retro with stock housings at a later time..... (now sooner than later)

Just like any aftermarket lights the output is garbage....imo. but they look cool lol.
Luckily I'm coming up on 24hr daylight so I got all summer to do a retro.

Painted the esky rack caps when I painted the area on the hatch. Cleaned the hoe and mocked up the rack. Hate chrome but I'll admit it looks amazing against this blue. Also got new used tails from @Bigbeardenali1992

Last 2 pics are edited with blacked out tails, clear corners, and black grille.

These tails with clear lenses and eagle eye reverse lights are crazy brighter than when they were in stock tails with the fluted lenses.

Dig how the quad tail light mod lights up these tails. Gives it a different and of course brighter look.
