Picked up an esky luggage rack and rear vent caps. Had to drive 2 hours each way to get them, but they only cost me $60. It was raining when we got home, so I didn't get the luggage rack put on, but I did swap the vent caps real quick. Looks so much better!

I also finished my antenna delete yesterday. Made an FM dipole antenna out of two lengths of wire, about 28.5" each, one run up the weatherstripping on the A-pillar, and the other run under the edge of the wiper cowl. Absolutely no AM reception (as expected) but FM is almost as good as it was with the stock antenna, so I'm happy. Only real downside is the esky cowl piece is more faded tan my cowl so they don't quite match. Gonna try a little rubbing compound on the whole thing to see if I can get it looking a little better.

Over the course of a week. I switched out my rear vent caps for Eskys.

Completed my antenna delete. I got lucky. The guy I was buying the vents from still had it on the vehicle. I ask how much and he said I could have them. Still had the Esky racks but I'll wait a bit to see if he'll drop the price.

What type of radio reception do you get once you do the antenna delete mod?

I live in the middle of the city so I haven't notice a change. Haven't checked am yet, not much selection up here. But if I go on long trips out of the city I'm listening to play lists on my ipod anyway.

I've noticed just a little bit of a loss in reception quality on FM. Zero AM stations, but I don't listen to those anyway. Rarely listen to FM, but I did make a point to listen to it around town right after doing the delete.

I made an FM dipole antenna by running 2 pieces of ~28.5" of wire from the antenna base, one going up the A-pillar, tucked under the rubber trim, the other running along the base of the windshield, tucked under the wiper cowl.

Good job. I'm still on the fence about doing it to mine. I might just repaint the black parts black. I kind of have a black/ pewter scheme going on but I like it on yours.
I think yours would look great painted since you have everything else the same

I think youre right. Do a cm cap and gloss black over the black parts. I guess technically you can just smooth and clear over the black plastic
