So my cruise control doesn't work either. Which really irritates me because these lights are supposed to have resistors built in so that none of this happens. Well at any rate these are coming off and I'm putting my other tails back on. Even if they just need resistors wired in to work right I just don't have the time for this nonsense. They were supoosed to be plug and play. I'm too busy with work and can't afford to have my only vehicle not functioning right and not being able to make my business money because of stupid little stuff like this. These are going back to the seller for a refund...... soich for having led tails...... :banghead:

Sounds like they are junk. $135 and they are not pnp, thats crazy, at least dont sound pnp to me. I thought there was another guy on here who got those, maybe we can get him in here. If not send them back and get some spyders lol

X2. Nice try to step up the tails game with something different and understand the frustration. Get those Spyders, even though I know everyone has them, but they work PNP. I have had no issues at all.

If they didn't come with a separate box that you have to attach with double sided tape most likely there not pnp, the 3 sets of LED's I've used always had that box separate for the resistors

My Spyder's didn't have a separate box, everything was built-in. Cruise still needed a load resistor though.

My Spyders came without the separate box and are PNP. Cruise works fine for me.

But that I think is the difference between the years 02 and 06 that has been dually noted before.

I plugged in that load resistor I bought for the reverse. No change.... ugh. I wish I could afford spyder. Just not in the budget right now.

Then why did his 06 exhibit the same loss of cruise after installing these tails?

Spyders are about the same price, I checked and I see them on. eBay for $135 shipped.

Mines an 05, my Spyder's were PNP, no separate box and no resistors needed for hyper flash or cruise, thats why i suggested them.

The other reason I don't really like the spyders are because they look like all the other led tails. Don't get me wrong they are clean and classy looking! By far, but to me they aren't super exciting. If I'm gonna drop that much on tails I want them to be different and exciting.

@chevrol8t got the type with the C shaped tube, and you just unplug the factory wire harness and plug these in... no having to mess with plugging into the light sockets (read post #34).
Might have gone with that type if I hadn't already bought the set I have on my truck.

Excellent info. Should be problem solved.

@chevrol8t 's Tahoe, and my Yukon XL are both '00 trucks, I had to use the add-on resistors that came with mine on for the turn signals, and one for the brake light to make the cruse control work. He just plugged them in and it just worked.
I would think that @Bigbeardenali1992 's truck being a '06 shouldn't change enough to cause problems.

...and there will be only two forum members with that tail light style then. :D

Either way contact the seller immediately so you have a paper trail in case the seller try something fishy on returns.
Crappy to hear about the bad luck. Not meant to be I guess, try again in another 6 months :banghead:

@W8TVI , gotta pic of said harness under the rear bumper? I'm so confused. I'm fairly certain the only kind of wiring harness anywhere near my rear bumper is the trailer light hookup on my tow package.
