Ok, guess that's the plan then. I don't need that special tool do I? I can just use a regular ratchet?
18mm socket or wrench. Put it on jackstands, adjust, lower it down and measure. Repeat as necessary. If they haven't been adjusted recently better spray them down the day before with your favorite penetrating fluid.

Keys have been on less then a month, so they should be good to go. Thx Red.

Yeah but have the adjusting bolts been turned recently ? Oh also you need a socket not a wrench. The keys were probably installed without adjusting the bolts.

Aren't the adjusting bolts near the keys? Don't those have to be loosened to take out the stock keys, torsion bars? Where are those located?

I've never adjusted mine so somebody will have to chime in. I do know they adjust against the keys but I'm not sure if they have to be loosened to replace keys. You can always YouTube it.

Ok, if that's them, then I'm good. Buffy took them completely off to put on my new keys. Thx for all the info. :waytogo:

Bolts have to be removed completely to remove the keys...

This is right. The bolts go through a hole to a "block" that pushes up against the end of the key, turning the bar. It never hurts to put a bit of pb blaster on there each day when you get home leading up to the job...

edit: keep track of how many "turns" you tighten one side, then match the other. It will help get you closer, so you don't have to "fine tune" so much which involves putting the truck up and down, up and down....

It helps to move the truck back and forth a bit after you adjust and set the truck back down to settle everything

I started demolding but I didn't get to finish because it takes so damn long to get the adhesive off. What do you guys use to make the process quicker?

I took off the fender flares without it and my thumbs were sore for a few days. Just ordered one a few minutes ago on amazon for $10, I'll get it by Thursday and have the rest done by Friday. Thanks for the help

No problem
