Does anyone know what this device is? I was thinking of putting the mic for my new head unit right here. If this the mic for the stock blue tooth and OnStar system?

Yes that is the OnStar microphone. If you are deleting OnStar, then it's a good spot to use.

I believe that is normally a temperature sensor for the hvac controls.

Explains why there is one in the back. I always thought that was the speaker. Then I seen the one in the back and was confused. Lol
