What should they charge for just around the windows, just curious to see if the quotes I get are realistic. I replaced my fogs with the 80 watt Vanquish Auto lights and are really happy with them. I also have the HID Vanquish Auto lights and the HID for high beams and I'm just waiting for the shop to get me in to put them in. I really can't wait to get the headlights done but I've had serious back issues that have had me laid up.

sorry about your back. Hope you heal quickly. Your ride is going to look even better when its all said and done and the new lights will be a great add. I am in the same process of ordering new lights all around.

So the guy who tinted my windows said he thinks he can do the vinyl wrap. He also does vehicle lettering and stuff so I think he'll do fine. He said that I might have to let me vehicle sit for a few hours after the vinyl is put on so that it adheres and doesn't come off on my drive home. Is that the case or is it ok to drive after this is done? He's not sure because he's never done this before. Thanks

Thanks you everyone for your opinions! Do you think I should do gloss or matt black vinyl. 16 I can't wait to see how yours looks! Who's doing yours a tint place or a place that wraps vehicles with their company name? I'm just trying to find the best place that could do it at a good price. I wish I could do it myself!

The only way I can ever figure out what I want to do to a vehicle is to do a couple of renderings. That way it gives me a quick idea of what will look good and what I need to avoid. The renderings don't even need to be perfect at first, just load a pic of the truck in to Microsoft Paint and start coloring what you think you like. Once you have a general idea then you can either pay someone to do a finished one ( Only do this if you are planing on doing a lot of changes and want a "Game Plan"), or download a free rendering software and make it yourself. I personalty use Inkscape and Sketchbook Pro for my customers or my own renderings and they all start with a simple Paint image.

The trim around the windows. He only charged me $60 he gave me a discount because he's tinted the windows on my last few vehicles. How long do you think I should wait until I wash it? I want to clean it and I think it should be ok now but I just want to make sure. It looks so much better all blacked out and my wife doesn't get it!

I have Sketchbook on my 12.9" iPad Pro and I like using the big iPad and I also have the Apple Pencil. I use that to color in the chrome with Hitler's the black image and color it in. Is there another way or easier way? I don't know anything about designing or stuff like that. Just wanted to know of any pointers. Thanks

Cool...and you can't go wrong with $60.

Would you mind taking a close-up picture of the window trim (primarily along the rubber seal between window and wrapped chrome trim) and door handles? Just curious to see how he dealt with those window seal areas. Also, door handles are supposedly harder to wrap.

Sure I'll get some closer pictures when I get a chance. That was the hardest part he said getting it by the top by the seal because you can't get behind it or have a little lip like it does on top. He been doing window tint and vehicle lettering for 25 years and this is first time doing this kind of thing. But for $60'i think it came out great and also the front by the mirror where it kind of loops around he couldn't do it in one piece because of the curve. Not sure if others were able to do that part in one piece or not. As for the handled they were already black because I bought the midnight edition that came with the black rims and Chevy logos on front and back. I must have been typing from what you posted about the handles!
