Couple new (to me) mods

This weekend I had a 2" level put on and added the roof rack crossbars.

Im running a 2015i LT w/ Luxury package so far my adds are:

- replica 22's with 305/45 tires
- front window tint
- cross bars
- 2" level
- all weather mats throughout
- Phillips headlight bulbs
- center console lock box
- debadge LT letters
- front and back black bow ties

Tomorrow morning I'll be adding a K&N CAI and Magnaflow muffler. Going to try for a double pipe side exit. I'll try and post a video with the sound afterwards.

Thanks to all you guys for the ideas, help, and advice. This is my 3rd Tahoe and my favorite ( although tough call between my 07 Z71).

Nice job! Was it difficult debadging the LT? I'm thinking about debadging the LTZ and TAHOE (sides and rear), but am afraid of damaging the paint. I've seen videos on how it's done with a heat gun. I'm so tempted to do it.

its easy. did mine in about an hour and looks perfect. expect sore hands though. get fishing line, like 10b test, slide behind the badges lightly sawing back and forth until they come off. then rub with your fingers as much of the glue left behind off. then get goo-gone and a towel and rub some on. let stand a few minutes and just keep rubbing and will come off.

I used dental floss and wifey's hairdryer. Put some on it but move it around. Don't stay on one spot.

Yeah the debadging is simple. I used a hair dryer to heat up the letters then used fishing line to pry them off. Once you're done use the goo gone to remove the residue.

The Magnaflow is in and it sounds great! It's not too loud but gives just enough of that deeper rumble that I wanted. K&N CAI will likely go in today. Once I have some time I'll post a video of a cold start (possibly this weekend).

Yep, debading is super easy. I used my wife's hairdryer and went over the letters in a sweeping motion making sure not to keep in one spot too long to damage the paint. Then used dental floss to pry them off and finished up with some isopropyl rubbing alcohol to remove the remaining residue. If you don't plan on putting anything in it's spot (I actually replaced my chrome lettering with black lettering) you'll want to then make sure to clay bar the area and put a nice coat of wax back on there. Will look good as new and like it came straight from the factory.

Wellllll.....I did it! Thanks for the confidence booster! Fortunately, I didn't have to use a heat gun/hair dryer. I just used dental floss. That was the easy part. The time-consuming part was the removal of adhesive/residue. I used goo gone and it worked okay...but later tried rubbing alcohol and that worked way better.

I only did the sides and removed the LTZs and the TAHOEs. I'll do the rear TAHOE tomorrow.

Debadged rear TAHOE with dental floss (no heat gun) and alcohol. Finished with Meguiar's Ultimate Compound.

I'm looking at doing a leveling kit and the same size tires. Have you had any issues with the tires rubbing?

The 305 tires did rub prior to the level. Since the 2" level, the rubbing is gone.
