Best idea in the thread but unfortunately only works if the spare is the same size as the rest of the rims — — which would work for me and my trucks, which have the standard steelies. But if you have 20 inch rims and your spare is a 17” steelie. . .
FYI Ebay or Amazon both have 20" steelies for GMC $165, got mine from one, can't remember which one.... I slept since then!

Yeah that's my attempt at a joke. That pic was taken a month ago when they were replaced.
I hatched a plan to migrate the 2012 rims and tires to my 97, get some chrome ltz rims for the 2012 with new tires...well, as life does, time, money, patience, and health all conspired against me.
I looked down one morning, whilst waiting for the stars to align, and said, "So much for that. I'm taking the other truck today..."
Had a used tire shop put four nice used ones, matching, much tread left, on. The feller did a good job.a
Need an alignment though.

I wondered, but you fooled me by mentioning age, and not condition.

I guess that's two points for you.
