Fresh350's 2004 Tahoe Build Thread

I'm new here and I figured I'd start a build/future plan thread to keep track of everything done and need/want done...

After looking for a few months on different sites and craigslist (SO many spammers), I finally found one that really caught my eye. After seeing it in person and especially after driving it, I fell in love haha

2004 Chevrolet Tahoe
6.0l LQ9 swap w/ huge cam (don't have specs due to lost paperwork)- 40k miles
4L80e Trans w/ custom driveshaft- 7k miles
Gibson shorty's with full Magnaflow exhaust
2010 Tahoe 20's

Work done before I bought it:
-Radiator
-Tires
-Brakes and Rotors all around
-Rear diff (out of 2005 Yukon w/ 89k)
-Engine/Trans/Exhaust/Tune

Work I've done so far:
-Debadged rear hatch
-Water pump/Thermo/Idler Pulley/A/C Belt
-Blend and Mode Door Actuators
-HVAC Control Unit
-Serp. Belt
-Paint matched Fuel Door
-Hood Release Cable

Future plans/Mods: (Everything in Red has been done)

Interior:
-New carpet front and back
-New leather for front and back seats and new foam for bottom of drivers seat
-New steering wheel (leather worn) w/ TBSS airbag
-Silverado SS dash cluster
-Plastic's for rear cargo area
-Paint speaker grilles (rusty?)
-New head unit (dvd/nav/etc...)

Exterior:
-Silverado HD grille and possibly front bumper also (still deciding)
-Cowl hood
-New rear bumper (dented) and paint match front and rear
-Right side rocker (rusted through) and Rhino Line both rockers (can paint match later if too ugly)
-Headlights/Bumper lights/Taillights/Fogs (smoked or black housings)
-Remove door cladding
-Shave rear wiper

Suspension/Undercarriage:
-Belltech 2/3-4 drop
-Bilstein 4600's
-SS brake lines and hoses
-Clean and undercoat/paint
-NNBS front brake upgrade
-Sway bars

Engine/Trans:
-Dyno tune (figure out where its at to plan out future mods)
-TBSS or NNBS intake w/ bigger TB (maybe fabbed aluminum intake?)
-TruCool trans cooler w/ EAD bracket
-Long tube headers
-Big 3 upgrade

Ever since finding and joining, that's all I have been doing is reading up on whatever I can. Kinda a habit of mine haha. I probably wouldn't have known about half the stuff I want to do without this site haha

So I dropped her off to my buddy's shop to get the right rocker panel replaced and both rockers Rhino-lined. Can't wait to see how it turns out

Also ordered my EAD trans cooler brackets and bought some fogs from @kwOH... and I might have a lead on a TBSS intake and tb

Looks good. Have a wider shot? Looks like you're in Pa, lots of rusty rides out there. You really lucked out finding a Hoe with the swap done already! I'm doing mine soon, LQ4.

Some fresh fogs for @fresh350 lol, they will look much cleaner than those LED pods imo.

Thanks! Yeah... rusty rockers is why I sold off my Jeep for this. I wanted this one taken care of before it got that bad. I'm loving it with the swap... I can't wait til I have all the little bugs worked out.

Just curious, keeping the roof rack? Look so much better without them, Imo.

Haha these pods look like they were in the bottom of a lake, fished out and thrown onto the truck with some rusty wood screws. It's kinda a dog of the line cause of the big cam but on the highway I can pass people like they are sitting still (bugs I'm talking about). My buddy has a pretty good tuner that we will spend a day seeing where it is and try to figure where to go with future plans. I was back and forth on the roof rack but the look I'm going for it will be better off. I'm thinking of doing a Tahoe SS of sorts
