What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Received a bunch of yellow and blue boxes (Moog) today and my wheel spacers for the rear wheels, lift coils, russel ss braided brake hoses, and my spohn adj track bar.
Can't wait to get all of it put in. Going to get a quote tomorrow.
Hopefully getting it put in week after next.

Made a similar one for the old ladys truck. Since using the 3rd row was mandatory I had to get creative. Wood front and top, fiberglass bottom and back.

Still on stock wheels. Was on the ground in picture just had lift arms under it still.

Sealing up the paint on the 975's and will hopefully get mounted tomorrow afternoon if it's slow again at work.

Just treat them like a normal car finish. I used meguiars polymer sealant on my 18's right after I bought them. Neglected doing again but they were super easy to clean that first year. These are a satin black and I had to use a different paint sealant for matte finishes. I used CG Jet seal matte on these. 3 coats per wheel, 20 min after coat before buffing off. A sealant is like a synthetic wax but has way longer results.

Some little shit egged my car, probably last night since the lights were out and we weren't giving candy...or some thieves checking if I had an alarm. So l, installed my Kenwood Bluetooth single din and 4 channel amp in my console as planned anyways. Also planning on installing the sub amp in the console as well. Both are nano amps. As a former installer I'm not proud of the install so no pics on that.

I also added a dei tilt sensor and a dei glass break sensor. Both were in the mail before the egging...so I wasn't egged on lol!

Next up, probably the Proforged tie rods, new ac delco pro end links and bushings and the kyb steering stabilizer. Bit that may be a multi day project as I have some masters classes to catch up on

Carried home some precious cargo. I also ordered a set of slotted and grooved front and rear rotors with pads from R1 concepts, a billet grille insert and some new valance retaining clips.

Took off some MAJOR pita factory mudflaps, had to take off each tire and use a hand impact and a hammer, after some banging, prying, and heavy use of penetrating oil got all 4 of them off.

Finally! Got my wiring all done, ran 1/0 from the battery to a junction block, then 4 ga to the sub amp, and ran a 8 ga wire to power the Inverter. RCA's all run, turn-on wire ran from the head unit to the amp, everything up and powered!..... only to find out one of my subs is blown! Can't even move the dustcap, the coil is smoked... so I ordered another Powerbass 10" to replace it, should be here by Monday! So I'm jammin' to only one 10", on just 250 watts of power... but sooooo much cleaner sound than the factory speakers, especially since I can use the head unit's high-pass crossover to take the bass out of the doors.

I disassembled the mechanism for sliding the seat forward for the third row, it's going to be a rare time that the third row is installed. Allowed for mounting the Inverter.... now I can charge my Ryobi batteries while I drive!!

Lightning Audio 1000.1D amp, painted the same Metallic gray my 20x9 Sierra rims will be. The amp in the middle was just for placement purposes, needed to see where I had to mount the junction block - but it does allow me enough room to mount another amp for the four doors if I should ever need/want more power.

Of course, nothing comes easy.... installed 1 1/2" long 3/8" bolts in the battery terminals, to make it easier to add other accessories/ use jumper cables... and just as I was almost done snugging down the positive bolt, I dropped the wrench. Sparks flying as it bridged across the positive and negative battery terminals, I quickly smacked the wrench with another wrench I had nearby, but not before the arc across the terminals started to burn through the handle of the wrench!!!

I kind of did that once. I grounded my wrench against the alternator hot lead and welded a wrench to the case of it. Had to smack it to get it off.

Bad! The screws were rusted in there like none other. As for the paint definitely needs a little work, little thin lines of rust right where the edge of the flap sits plus some discoloration, going to take care of that real soon.

Repaint? Kind of reminds me of pickup trucks and those plastic bedliners. People put them in to protect the beds from damage, which they do to a certain extent, but they absolutely destroy the paint which causes the obvious damage, along with surface rust.

They are worn 275/60's(33x11), I have some 285/55 Trail Grapplers but as I suspected I am not a mud tire person. Feels like I'm driving a tractor. So I just put these on and when I sell the Trails and the factory wheel's I want to go 285/55 in some sort of A/T. But more than likely since I'm on a budget and wife said I can't spend any money to do this I will end up probably getting something A/T in a 275/60.
