Ok both are on and they work great. BUT.......the driver side sits more forward than the passenger one does in the locked driving position. Seems to be a common problem.

Found this thread that kinda covers it with no fixes:
http://www.gmfullsize.com/threads/kool-vue-tow-mirror-problem.236159/

Anyone take theirs apart and correct this or is it a live with it type of thing? It shouldn't matter what kind of mirror, the older ones or the K2xx they have the same hinges.

Sorry for beating this post to death but it would have greatly helped me to have found this before I actually bought em and crossed my fingers I'd like em.

So far I'm very happy with them as far as form and function. And I know everybody hates chrome these days but I'm an old school hot rod guy and I think chrome is a must but needs to be done in moderation.

So here's the pics:

I think they look great and very functional. The folding option would be nice.. as well a robust motor to last through freezing conditions.

Just an update, I really dig the mirrors. You can see 10x better. I have yet to see another SUV rolling with them either. I will admit that it makes parking it in regular spaces next to another vehicle very tight. I hate folding them in, so I'm pretty much a back of the lot dweller now. It's ok gives me a longer time to stare at her.

Any of you guys have ever been able to make the mirrors flat and even? I follow a lot of Tahoe Instagram pages and ran across this guy, I'm not sure how he was able to make them level. Any of you all like to share some insight?

mine are leveled. it is not hard. you will need a stack of stainless steel washers sized to the hinge bolt. and a longer upper bolt. The process is as follows. Take the hinge cap off and remove one bolt. Go to the hardware store and buy 4 bolts that are 1/4-1/2" longer and about 2 dozen washers that fit that bolt. Now you stack the washers between the body side and the top bolts of the hinge. This will lower the outer bottom corner LEVELING the mirrors. You will finally once leveled need to trim the inner plastic of the hinge cover some to account for the tilt. And you are done.
